No joke out of 30+ years do you have any short term memory loss or anything like that?

what were we talking about.....

 :D

in all seriousness, yes I do, for sure, its not major by any means, but I notice it sometimes......usually looking for my lighter haha

but the fact that I don't have to deal with horrible dreams of watching my kids die just about every time I try to sleep...(if I smoke regularly)

and dealing with pancreas pain is much easier when I smoke, its not a great pain killer by any means, but it takes the edge off.....

and if I didn't smoke there would be dead bodies...so ya I'll keep smoking till I am no more.

My dreams start when not smoking so yeah......lots of dreams for the last 3 years.

I didn't remember dreams when I was smoking and maybe wasn't having any.

Short term memory loss really didn't occur but the importance I placed on certain tasks would be switched to something else in my mind so the lack of caring about something could cause a lapse in concentration.

Hearst's timber holdings were about to become almost worthless as hemp was poised to takeover the paper industry so Hearst had to do something!

All things in moderation, anything taken to excess is bound to have ill effects.

We need to take the profit out of vices, trying to prohibit doesnt work and only opens up a black market that has no controls. Man has always used intoxicants and always will, heck even animals use intoxicants!

Society needs to treat this as a social/health issue and not a criminal issue. I'm not talking just about weed either, all drugs need to be distributed with medical supervision.

This way I dont need to worry about some junkie kicking in my backdoor to steal my TV to pay for his fix when all it would cost is a couple bucks a day to keep that from happening. At the same time they could be helped with the real problem thats causing them to self medicate.

LOL what do I know....I'd never touch that evil stuff...... :devil

Quote
THC's effects on road-tracking after doses up to 300 µg/kg never exceeded alcohol's at bacs of 0.08 g%; and, were in no way unusual compared to many medicinal drugs' (Robbe, 1994; Robbe and O'Hanlon, 1995; O'Hanlon et al., 1995). Yet, THC's effects differ qualitatively from many other drugs, especially alcohol. Evidence from the present and previous studies strongly suggests that alcohol encourages risky driving whereas THC encourages greater caution, at least in experiments. Another way THC seems to differ qualitatively from many other drugs is that the former's users seem better able to compensate for its adverse effects while driving under the influence.

Great reference!

Why blueberry?  It's green with red hair.

Better to get that purple haired stuff and call that blueberry...no?

Does it taste like blueberries or something?

FYI for those that are going to cite references please use references from within the last 8-9 years because that is when the long term studies started being released and the more recent studies are much more reliable references than those done in the early 1990s.  Just think how much science has advanced since then.

Here are recent studies on the effects of THC of both acute and chronic use and recreational use.

http://blog.uvm.edu/jrhughes/files/2011/11/10.1.1.175.3772.pdf - Health effects of recreational use

http://jop.sagepub.com/content/23/6/714.short - Long term effects on the visual motor system

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3037578/ - Acute and long term use of THC and effects of cognitive function.  For the argument of driving please just look at the concentration and attention part and decision making,

Just some found through Google Scholar from 2009 on.  Not going do all the research for everyone but just shows how much different science can be from the 1990s to the more recent day.  There is a reason why writing a scientific paper its advisable to use as much recent material as possible not stuff that is 40-50 years old unless it is the basis for a scientific theory such as the Watson and Crick DNA material.

The name of a strain does not have to coincide with the color of the plant.

Better to get that purple haired stuff and call that blueberry...no?  no

Does it taste like blueberries or something? it has a fruity aroma and taste when smoked that can be related to a common fruit like blueberry.

Ink, that you think your "experience" overrides scientific fact speaks volumes on your intellect.

No joke out of 30+ years do you have any short term memory loss or anything like that?

I smoked some really, really good pot (hydro white widow) daily for about a year. And yes I noticed memory loss, I would forget about things, pretty significant things that I did regardless of weather I was high or not. For example I'd go to a meeting at work sober and totally forget about it. I'd be like "when did this change? I never heard about it." And they'd be like, "they told everyone at the meeting" And I'd be like "Oh F I missed the big ol' important meeting!" And they'd be like "Uh.. you were there, it was last week". I'd say Nuh-uh, and they'd talk about it and describe it for a few minutes before I'd finally be like "Oh Sh that's right!". I stopped smoking a couple years ago and I haven't noticed any more amnesia episodes.

Yes it is, it confirms clearly that pot impairs drivers ability to drive, only differently from alcohol.

ok I am stepping back...

Bodhi sorry for insulting you....its not called for and is wrong of me.... :salute

its ok that we have different opinions....

I do want to say you cant believe everything you read....one of those "studies" says you can OD on 15grams.....

trust me when I say...you can not OD on any amount of pot. That is fact.

many "studies" have agendas, I am not the kind of person who believes what he reads or hears unless he knows the source of the information...and even then I question it.

anyways Truly Bodhi....I was wrong to insult you. :salute
