The great thing is we don't need any permission to go and do this on our own already! We should totally make our own fan-made ad for AH2! Pick a day for a whole bunch of us to get online, grab 40-70 fighters, and meet in 1 sector to duke it out for some awesome mass dogfight scenes. Then we can plan some big bomber and gv runs, and show off just how massive AH2 is both in server numbers and the air/land/sea war.

I was planning to get back into it after they updated the lighting and terrain.

I was working on on these 2 but stopped when I seen the updates coming and also the film view was driving me nuts. Its bugs and interface need to be fixed.

Just some low quality files to show off.

How about a powerpoint presentation with 2 hours of charts & graphs? I know some guy who could also provide a monotonous German accented voiceover...    :old:

Pros
Kudos to advertise the game and consistent focused marketing.

Cons
That ad may not have the broadest appeal to the entire demographic of potential new clients.

Anyone remember that IL-2 video "Come With Me" featuring a Zeke pilot against F4Fs and SBDs?   THAT is a great vid.  The SBD vulch fest is brilliantly edited.

I always pictured an ad for the game similar to something like this.....tells u exactly what the squad is about....what they do...whats in game etc etc

Just shrink it way down and hit on the high points

Who is the guy with the poorly fitting dentures? LOL You can always tell because they shound shomething like Shawn Connery.

All kidding aside and I dont know if anyone has brought this up already or not but as much as anything this ad sufferers from the same problem most of the AH ad does. Trying to show too much too fast. Everything just wizzes by and its hard to grasp what its all about.

Im in the tri state area of NY, NJ and Pennsy. Trust me. Everything here is faster then just about anyplace else in the country. We go and talk a mile a minute Especially conversation where I struggle to keep from smacking people just to "get to the point already" And these commercials are too fast paced. Its like fanning the pages of a book through your fingers. You might catch a word or two here and there. But you still have no idea what the book is about.

AH would be better off slowing the pace down a bit and doing a series of different commercials highlighting different aspects of the game instead of seemingly trying to cram everything into one bit. Or telling a story. Open with for example a naval battle and or bombardment then move to aircraft duking it out over sea. then fighters attacking each other and bombers as the bombers are dropping on land targets and end with a shot of not a series of tanks but a mass of tanks moving and shooting at each other in and around tank town. Use a backdrop of music that grabs attention and gets the warlike blood flowing like Gustav Holst "Mars, Bringer of war" And end with something like "All this and more is available for YOU to do in Aces High. FLY ACES HIGH DOT COM!!"

Another idea would be perfect to air during the show "Dogfights"
Open with  a narrator "Like the maneuvers you just saw?" Then show various maneuvers with in game footage "The Immelman" "The Split S" "The Thatch Weave" etc etc.
Try your hand at putting them to the test with accurately modeled aircraft both with and against hundreds of real opponents in Aces high"
