Night in the Main Arena

     Night time air operations where critical during WWII. Wether it was night time CV operations in the pacific or Lancaster raids in Europe or the great B29 fire raids on japan, night operations played a big role. I would love to see this in the Main arena along with the addition of night-fighters. This would make Lancaster strat raid possible during peak hours and finally allow lancasters to fulfill their true use, night bombers. (Inciter bombs would be nice too as a payload for lancs and B29s too, but that's a different topic). Possible night fighters are the modified F6F, mossie, modified 410, and 110.

          If I remember correctly they have added this to the MA on a few special occasions. I believe it should be a regular part of the MA due to the impacts night had in WWII and it would allow people to use under defended bombers, such as the Lancaster,  like they where used in WWII, as effective night bombers. This would also call for modifications to a few aircraft so they could be night fighters. Maybe the on board radar could be a weapon package.

Nope, it's because all the "kids" upped their gamma and any other trick they could to turn "night" into "day".

And yet other games have night time... This is the issue with the AH community everyone tries to cheat the system. You don't see people in BF3 turning the brightness up to get a edge on the other person. You don't see people in WT doing that either.

This is why we can't have nice things.

The majority of people did not like it. So much so that there was a significant drop in numbers when night was running. And hence it no longer is the norm in the main arena.

chill dafuq out dude. this is wishlist forum. The opinions of the players years ago are not necessarily the opinions of those playing today.

Not everyone knows to search before hand, and frankly they don't have to. So deal with it.

Hitech came in, told us what was up and why night ain't happening. The way you posted was more annoying then just having to read another night wish.

By your reasoning any wish previously posted, means we should just go with the opinions of that thread at that time, since creating an identical wish apparently gets your panties twisted.

It was quite a few years ago that night was removed and a lot of people seem to be interested in trying it. I think we should give it a try again for a week or so with maybe 30 minutes of night every few hours. If people decide they don't like it again no harm done.

It wasn't the darkness that bothered me, it was the god awful never ending dawn and dusk.
