I've been wanting a bike for years, but Living in Metro Atlanta it's not really feasible. Yes It would be great to lane split through all this traffic, but there are waaayyy to many idiot on the roads around here. To add into that I am one of those idiots on the road I know I would kill myself on a bike,  the foot is lead, a bike would make it worse.

a lead foot on a bike just means youd be stopping quick :)  or shifting a lot?  lol

Got the right hand cranked! :aok    At least thats what we said back when I was invincible and rode all the time.

I have been toying with the idea of building a bike, for awhile I thought a BMW bobber would be too cool but those old airheads cost a fortune these days. So I've been looking for a bigbore single dual purpose type,I think a supermoto bobber might suit me,got to have a 1.5 gal tank cuz I dont think I could ride any longer than that!

Oh and Zoney is living the dream, and the real deal too!   I'd give my.....  for just a minute or 2 on that machine!  Color me Kawi green with envy!

Their website states that they already have over 15,000 vehicles already reserved.

A few years ago a friend that worked for a dealership brought me a CCM 660 Supermoto and challenged me to try and crash it on the sodden roads.

Never ridden anything like that, on any other bike you would be worried about the rear trying to overtake the front, on that it felt like I was 8 years old and riding my Raleigh Grifter :old:

My problem is I only have 29 1/2 inch inside leg so most trailie types are way to tall for me and to reach the floor I have to have the crook of the opposite knee on the seat, not to mention that the world suddenly seems full of Ewan McGregor wannabees in silly suits :bhead

Tires which are Honda spec tires built by Pirelli will only go about 3,000 miles and are $500.00 a pair.

That's a marketing gimmick.  'Honda spec' just means some marketing suits got drunk in a kareoki bar and muttered something about branding which no doubt involved a large kickback.

Fit Bridgestones instead, there's a reason MotoGP is a one tyre make series.

Pair of Avons for my ST cost not far off that much :bhead

I ride a motorcycle every day and have for 40 years.  I live in Arizona so motorcycles can be much more than a toy, it is my transportation.

Friday I took delivery of a 2014 Honda CBR1000RR SP.  This bike is unbelievable.  400 pounds and 155 HP.  Full Ohlins Race suspension, Brembo Monoblock Brakes, and an engine built by HRC (Honda Racing Company) that is blueprinted and balanced from the factory.  It is also a "monoposto", no passengers, maximum rider weight is 200 pounds.  The bike has a mileage computer on it, even new and tight, it gets 55 MPG at 65 MPH, sitting straight up.  If I go into a full tuck it is 63 MPG at 65 MPH.

Not only is the gas mileage very good but it is very exciting to ride.  It would be a half a million dollar super car to have this performance.

This is not however a cheap machine to operate.  The bike is $17,000.  Tires which are Honda spec tires built by Pirelli will only go about 3,000 miles and are $500.00 a pair.

Nothing makes me feel like I feel when riding a bike in the Arizona mountains on a sunny Saturday morning.  My brothers Prius gets the same gas mileage, but the experience is not quit the same.

Nice man!  I can relate although my last bike was not close in performance to what you just ordered.  I had a 2001 Yamaha Fazer (1 liter version).  That bike was fast as hell.. at least by my standards. Living in San Antonio at the time, my riding season was 12 months.

Do they detune CBRs for the US market then?  Cos my 10 year old ZX-10R is 380lbs and 185bhp....it's the Mk1, before they detuned them to stop noobs from flipping immediately and fitted a factory steering damper.  But it's difficult to believe a standard Kawasaki is both lighter and more powerful (significantly so) than a Honda 'RR SP', which is supposed to be the biking version of a carbon fibre Zonda.

And heated handgrips are the greatest invention in the history of biking, now my only excuse is foot deep snow.
