You know Earl, you hit the nail on the head. I think I must personally have around 12-14000 hours of simulator time ranging from Microsoft Flight Simulator 1 (aka subLogic) to X, Jet 1.0 for the Amiga, Chuck Yeagers Air Combat, F-16, Eurofighter, EAW, Su-27 Flanker 1,1.5,2,Lock-On and it's variants. And I've been playing Aces High for over 14 years (though with a younger family, not so much lately). I only have around 50 hours of right hand seat flying.
But having flown simulators for decades now - I find flying any real aircraft easy. Heck, flying AND landing a Cessna 172RG on a cross wind is a whole lot easier than trying to navigate a Aces High P-15D with iron over Nazi-occupied France against the likes of JG54 sticks.
Just saying...
