Compliants
« on: June 05, 2014, 01:24:22 PM »
:airplane: I know that we have some folks in here that complain about a lot of things! Bottom line guys, this is by far the most realistic aircraft game on the net and if you pay attention, you can learn a lot about flying the real thing. Wish I was 14 again, when I started learning to fly and had something like this to practice with! Wow!

You know Earl, you hit the nail on the head.  I think I must personally have around 12-14000 hours of simulator time ranging from Microsoft Flight Simulator 1 (aka subLogic) to X, Jet 1.0 for the Amiga, Chuck Yeagers Air Combat, F-16, Eurofighter, EAW, Su-27 Flanker 1,1.5,2,Lock-On and it's variants. And I've been playing Aces High for over 14 years (though with a younger family, not so much lately).  I only have around 50 hours of right hand seat flying.

But having flown simulators for decades now - I find flying any real aircraft easy.  Heck, flying AND landing a Cessna 172RG on a cross wind is a whole lot easier than trying to navigate a Aces High P-15D with iron over Nazi-occupied France against the likes of JG54 sticks.

Just saying... :D

This statement is 99% compliant with something or other.

I attained my glider pilot at 16 and private pilot at 17. Sadly I currently only fly gliders spring and fall and have lapsed my ppl due to money and time. But I can honestly say picking this game up it wasnt the flying I had to learn it was and still is the acm, shooting,  and learning the game. And that being said I agree with you et37 <S>

AH is not the most realistic aircraft game on the net, but it is in my opinion the best compromise between realism and playability. Especially for a MMO.

Most realistic aircraft game of its type (shooting things)
only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.
