A number years ago a Russian science team in Siberia were drilling a hole 9 miles deep into the Earth's core when they hit an unexpected air pocket.  Afterwards, it was decided by the team to lower a special heat resistant microphone and scientific equipment into the hole.  The microphone supposedly picked up some strange sounds, sound that some people (i.e. the religious type) have sworn are sounds from those in Hell and use this as proof there is in fact a Hell.  Personally, the sounds are just super heated air escaping and making those wailing sounds that sound like blood curling screams.  Anyway, you be the judge...screams of The Damned or just the sound of Earth's flatulence?

The actual story behind this is way funnier than a rick roll
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well_to_Hell_hoax

the wikipedia article is skinnier than it used to be

"When he returned to Norway, Rendalen sat down and fabricated the graphic story of the bat-like creature and sent his letter to the television network. His prediction was that they would use the story without investigating it. To make an investigation easy for them, he included his name, address and telephone number on his letter. He also included what he claimed was an article on the story from 'Norway's largest and most reputable newspaper'. In fact, the article, which he falsely translated, was a piece in his local community paper about a building inspector.

Rendalen also included the name and telephone number of a pastor friend based in Southern California. This pastor knew about the hoax and was prepared to reveal the truth if someone called to research it further with him.

However, as predicted, Trinity Broadcasting Network ran the story without contacting Renalden or the Californian pastor, and it appeared on television, radio and in a large number of publications. None of those who used the story attempted to research it before going public."

Yup, typical media.

I have no doubt that an all-powerfull God who would create us based on flawed DNA would throw us into a pit of lava for eternity if we didn't believe in a flawed filled book in which he impregnated a 13 year old girl (Mary) and had his own son executed so that he could save humanity.  Well, seeing that in writing may seem kind of ridiculous.  I better go give my pastor some money (10% of my annual earnings, pre-tax).
Currently ignoring Vraciu as he is a whoopeeed retard.

Reminds me of something a friend of mine once did. He and another friend of his concocted a story of how on a visit to Cuba they met Fidel Castro while playing golf and gave him a few tips to improve his game. They offered the story to a newspaper who even sent out a photographer. The story was duly published and they were even paid the equivalent of about $300. The media don't care about the truth. They only care about copy!

As for strange sounds well come and visit my fridge. It makes strange animal sounds which are impossible to record! Ghostly moaning and sighing. Probably the ghosts of all those cow, sheep and pigs (and horses and dogs) I've eaten over the years! :bolt:
