The votes are being counted.

Though this has been in the news over the past month, today I am transfixed.

Some of this BBC vid is good.  The end, paltry.

But, here it is: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-29240106

As much as I understand there is a regions pride involved, the fallout for the Scotts I feel, will be too much for such a small new country to handle. The Debt alone would be a big hurdle (Some sources have stated that even if the Scotts sold off all their oil reserves, it would not be enough to cover the next few years )

From an outsiders perspective, I have not seen the scotts being oppressed or being denied benefits. I even went and read up on the dispersion of funds in the UK, and it looks like the Barnett formula gives a greater proportion of government funds to Scotland then a per head calculation would provide (this would benefits the Welsh more).

I hope for a No vote, because it feels like the best option for the Scottish people. Yes some pride will have to be swallowed, but the country will remain stable & viable.

We all end up dead, it’s just a question of how and why. Every man dies, not every man really lives.I am William Wallace! And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny. You’ve come to fight as free men… and free men you are. What will you do with that freedom? Will you fight?

Fight? Against that? No! We will run. And we will live.

Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you’ll live… at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin’ to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take… OUR FREEDOM!

Heh I'm not Scottish but I entertained myself by tweeting and posting Braveheart today.  I bet most people wondered why.

No really no one cares in England :)

People burning the Union Jack in Scotland is a bit weird :)

They burn flags in the middle  east usually American flags :)

unions, benefits, holidays, social nets...what will they do when the world fixes its addiction to oil? Work  :rofl

N sea oil will fix Scotland for ~10yrs or so, what then?  Where does welfare come from?  That's rhetorical btw.
They're casting their bait over there, see?

People burning the flag of the country they claim benefits from should be flayed raw and tossed in sea salt.

Then deported to the Ukraine

First of all, get it right.  Scotland is part of Great Britain, which is part of the 'United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.  Scotland leaving would not change the title of the country.  Frankly, I'd like Northern Ireland to rejoin the rest of Ireland so we can drop the stoopid 'Yoo Kay' title and go back to being just plain old Great Britain.
