Everyone on this forum be like "Cooperation and teamwork is great!", until someone use it to kill them.  ;)

No, GV icons should have the same rules for enemy and friendly aircraft.  I am sick of fleeing aircraft going straight to a Wirble that they can magically see and I cannot.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

I have no problem with cooperation being used to kill me so long as it is reasonable cooperation.  Cooperation based on magically skills and information the US Army would kill for now let alone in WWII is not something I think is good.

If I could also see the Wirblewind and still got dragged to it, fine, I'm dumb for taking the chance.  If neither I nor Mr P-51 can see where the Wirble is and through skillful communication and planning he is able to drag me to the Wirble, fine, they earned it.  The situation now where the Mr. P-51 can just see from miles away where the Wirblewind is and I cannot see it until I am well inside its range is just broken.

The point is to protect the GV warefare side of the game though.. By taking out GV icons from AC, I think it will help ever so slightly.

and here I thought the GVs were only added as more targets for the aircraft in an air sim game.  :devil

Most guys looking for GV's turn down the graphics to pre-svga air warrior settings but it's kind of gamey.

Well, I've already said I think you should be able to see a 20 ton tank as far way as a 10,000 pound airplane, so we have no disagreement.  :salute

-1 I can easily see a and (usually make out the model) car from 4000 feet in my plane. Until I can identify a tank from a barn at 4k agl in AH, the icons should remain and be made the same for all. If I can't see your icon, you shouldn't be able to see mine. Already heavily skewed in tankers favor in my opinion. I personally think its complete stupidity that I can hear a GV if I shut my engine off before I can see it.

Turn off all enemy gv icons for all planes including the storch and give the gv's someplace to hide. The storch
can see enemy gv's and does not need to have icons turned on.

I like WWhiskey idea, make the barn door bigger on those that have two silos. The tank can drive in and make use of good cover. Make the trees in the next update allot denser so gv's cannot be seen. We will see allot more perked tanks off of concrete. Hunting perked tanks with a medium armor tank is allot of fun.

<S> WWhiskey......always fun fighting you.

Taking down ords so we can have a gv fight gets tiresome, but is effective.
Hopefully the new terrain will provide the cover that GV's need.
Tanks do not fly up and kill planes. On the contrary, planes come in low within the ranged of the turret and get main gunned. I always get pm's from unhappy pilots that I cheated. They came in really low and got maingunned with an HE round......nothing more.

The bomb-buddies*** can go into the TA anytime to learn GV's. It is free.

AH inherently gives an unfair advantage to a/c. Flame away.

I'm not so sure.  Generally speaking, the plane is not amongst a 3D backdrop, colored to its surroundings, and *trying* to hide.

Set them both in the middle of the Bonneville Salt Flats and set back 5000 yards and maybe they'd be on closer terms, but something that is high in clear blue sky vs hidden amongst the trees, buildings, hedgerows, AND is the same color  as its surroundings is not the same.
