OP your mistake was commenting on Youtube. I made that mistake too once and only once. I saw a video which featured an Air France jet laying chemtrails over southern Ireland. Yes the French are spraying us for some reason! I commented on the unlikelihood of the French doing this even if you believe in chemtrails. Well I was sorry very quickly. One character researched me, found out I was a pilot and all but accused me of being in on the conspiracy. A paid stooge of the US government. I was seriously tempted tell him I relied on that cheque (or is it check) from Uncle Sam every month! But decided not to because now I was worried he might try and pay me a visit. Yes I got paranoid and thought there might be a conspiracy!
In fact the word chemtrail is now falling out of favour with these people. It's now 'geoengineering' and weather modification and more disturbingly it's latched onto the whole climate change debate. Which gives it a cloak of respectability because as we know everyone is supposed to believe that man made climate change is real.
One thing it does highlight is the number of people out there with a very flimsy grasp of reality. I suspect many of them live very dull lives indeed. Believing in grand conspiracies makes life interesting. There was also a suggestion that excess levels of dopamine in certain people make them see patterns where none exist. Probably the source of many a conspiracy theory.
As for making money out of these people. I personally believe it already happens. A lot of these sites are very slick indeed and there's plenty of advertising.
It's a crazy world we live in.
