I have no problem with you whatsoever.  I was a bit surprised and yes I thought you were referring to me.

Sorry about that - my misunderstanding.

He's referring to me after myself having never said a single word to him in game, or in here.   It's also funny that he should not include his squadmate Someguy, who appears to have a career in both Chilean Volcanology and Climatology.   Maryland and Chile are right next to each other for the occasional picnic.

But ammo, rest assured, I am not bitter.   Far from it actually, tired of certain cut and paste posts attempting to dictate to others, that "this will have zero effect", when that region will have some after effects.   Also, anyone using basic sociolinguistics can look back and point it out as well.

Might possibly just cause storms. No climate change as it can't cause temperature rise and doesn't block out enough of the sun to cool a lot of temperatures below average. It is quite interesting, however that is has power to do either, even in just that small region.

Are you talking about this post.

I know you aren't a bitter person - I believe you are quite the opposite.

the ocean doesn't 'contribute carbon to the atmosphere', the atmosphere and the ocean exchange carbon. there's an equilibrium between the two. where do you think the ocean would be getting all of this carbon dioxide from? i once had a guy tell me that you shouldn't choose wind-generated electricity because 'wind doesn't blow at night, so you lose power'.

He was right. When the wind doesn't blow, coal burning backup generators are started with blaaaaack puffs of smoke. The more wind power you use the more you promote using coal for power. Oh the irony. Not to mention wind power is so expensive to generate that it has to be subvented by the government so you get a double whammy. Higher taxes AND more coal burning.

Magnetic motors will be the energy source of the future. It is a rather new creation but imagine creating energy with the use of magnets propelling a fan. It will always spin, doesn't cause any pollution or bird killing, and doesn't cost anything to keep it powered. Check out some vids on YouTube of magnetic motors.

That 1 volcano put more CO2 and other cmpounds into the sky than all of human South America combined ever. It will cause some short term ecological, environmental, and some climate change. My arguement is that no man made creation could ever amount to this much CO2/compounds into the atmosphere at one time for it to cause this type of change. That is why cloud seeding for a grand effect is BS, as well as chemtrails. It's BS and a waist of money and energy to create these things when it takes the emount of energy as a volcano to create this type of short term change (maybe about 6 months). While humans are changing some sort if equilibrium, all it takes is 1 volcano to spew to completely change the atmosohere. A Huge volcano would do an incredible amount of damage that we could not control. The only way humans will have an effect in stopping our foot print would be to find better energy sources and slow down our own emissions. That is simply it. You never know what the earth will do either. Plus, if North America doesn't see any effects of the Volcano, you will realize just how big the atmosphere really is, and how good it is at dispersing the compounds into and out of the atmosphere, enough for us to not even notice the effects of the volcano.
