Ohio was the start of the NFL. Thus Footballs HOF is there. High School football in Ohio is one of the best states for college recruiting.
Ohio supplies players to MSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and when OSU played in the Nat. Championship last year two Oregon starters were from Ohio.
Ohio provides many more HS players to college programs around the country that I've mentioned such as Penn State etc.
dantonio is from ohio as well.
I asked a ohio fan why so many from ohio go to michigan? he said "because they cant all go to ohio." i spent a summer at ceder point and noticed at the local hood store there were a lot of michigan fans, sure felt like home
only i think they liked michigan more than we did.
goes to show football is life in ohio. but why only one good team? sure ohio has the MAC covered, but with all that tallent in the state why cant a school like cincinnati get to the top?
and plasus should you not capitalize "the" "The birthplace of elite coaches" ?
