Brooke........why don't we explain to these people the rivalry between Ohio and Michigan that started long before football. It started in the early 1800s'.

Yep, even from before they were both states.

I wish the best for both Michigan and Ohio, though.  My beloved midwest certainly can use it given how things have gone in recent times for places away from the two coasts.

I remember those times, I answered a call to fight the British.  I didn't get promoted either!

However, some settlers in Alabama were developing the game of football about the same time and the rest is history.

I wish the best for all football teams.  They give me joy every week when I see them perform.  Clemson Syracuse??  Best game I've seen this year.  When all is said

and done it is not impossible for both of them to be finalists.  Ohio State is young and I fear they will make mistakes in critical times.  They could be left out!

Michigan has improved greatly since Harbaugh has arrived and don't count Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Michigan State out yet!  Maryland is undefeated also.

Washington looked superior while beating Stanford.  So many good teams to enjoy on Saturdays.

And Brooke the borders of Michigan were not the same as they are today.  Michigan actually had Toledo within its' border.  Michigan wanted Toledo as a port and so did Ohio.

At that time Ohio was a state and Michigan was just a territory.  Since Ohio had representation in Congress they won out.  There actually was a battle in that area and people actually

shot at one another over this.  Thankfully no one is hurt.  If I remember it was called the Battle of/for Toledo.  It can be googled.  To this day in the extreme northwest corner of

Ohio there are many who feel loyalty to Michigan.  Thus the Battle of OSU and Michigan is the most intense of any rivalry to this day.

before The Game there was The Trade.  Ohio got the toledo river and Michigan got the largest iron and copper reserves, timber, and a place called the U.P..

That could of been the end of a war but it has been a while since 4th grade.

Michigan looked awesome! The Vols were close but not close enough. Ohio State had a bad day, even though they won by 21 they looked less then great.  Alabama vs. Arkansas intense.

Michigan State lost to BYU and ND lost to North Carolina State?  Both these teams have been disappointments this year.  Wonder how long the Coach has at Notre Dame. They have little patience in south Bend.

Biggest upset Houston loses to Navy!

Yikes.

Navy beats Houston?  BYU beats Michigan State, at Michigan State, and by a lot?

Washington puts up 70 (!) points against Oregon.  Yow!  Go, Huskies!

Also, Washington State is currently dominating Stanford.

And go, Jabrill Peppers!  :aok

Heh!  Hajo and I were thinking a couple of the same things at the same time regarding Houston and MSU.

They still looked very good.  Indiana isn't a bad team.

I must say, every time I see Mike Webber making a big play or a touchdown, it makes me remember that he was originally a Michigan commit.   :cry
