I’d just like to point out that my Alma Mater, Appalachian State, is 3-3 in Bowl Games since we moved to the Sunbelt.

I watched that game.  Wow, that was a big blow to Mich that was never let go the whole season.

The Northwestern / Kentucky game was quite exciting -- game in contention right down to the wire.  Congratulations to Northwestern.

The BIG is now 5 and 0 in bowl games.  Ya..it's a weak conference.  The SEC is 0 and 3.  OSU had games with 5 top ten teams.  They lost one and won four.

Fun games to watch.  Congrats to the Wildcats!

Big Ten has better than usual teams slotted in each bowl due to no team in the championship.

Congratulations to Penn State.

Good work, also, to Washington for charging back to make it a great game to the end.

Hajo, I'm hoping Barrett makes it into the NFL.  I'm pulling for him!

Brooke he was a great College Quarterback.  He is one of many outstanding College Quarterbacks that aren't good enough to play in the NFL.  He's tentative when under the gun.
He did very well because of the team mates that surrounded him.  A lot of his former team mates are playing in the NFL.  That helps any quarterback to be outstanding in College.
I know he broke Drew Brees Big Ten record.  Brees is a much better quarterback imho.  Plus his running skills if applied in the NFL will eventually get him on injured reserve.  He is
an average passer at best.

I agree.   He has the speed but arm not there.   He should opted out of NFL, IMOP.

So far the BIG is undefeated in Bowl Games.  This DOES directly reflect on the strength of their schedules.  We don't play Mercer or Vandy.  Some conferences schedule cupcake games at the beginning or middle of the season.  Big rule is only schedule Div 1 opponents.  It does hurt the BIG by not getting a free game to get your team in order.  There are no exhibition games so to speak.  You're deemed ready for Div1 opponents at the first game of the season.

This is not a poke at other conferences.  It's just a fact.  I wish all conferences had the same practice and attitude.  Makes for better games to watch.

Also imho Darnold the USC QB is not ready for the NFL. He reminds me a lot of Deshon Kizer.  He should stay in school.

OK . . .

It's almost time for the most-important bowl game of them all.

Yes, that's right.  Michigan vs. South Carolina in the Outback Bowl at noon Eastern.

I just wanted to mention it because of all the distractions of New Year's day and various other lesser bowls.

See, Michigan was the exception for being slotted too low.  Sparty woulda won.

Now lets root for Danny Elting, former Boilermaker, to complete this comeback over ND.

Edit:  Darn :(

Edit2: Auburn lost to UCF  :lol
