My player rival is without a doubt Ditto from the famed JG11. Ditto and I go back to 2012 during the Der Grosse Schlag II Scenario over Germany. I believe it was frame two when I had ditto lined up and poured burst after burst into his aircraft. He fought for what seemed like an eternity with Ditto himself putting rounds into my ship as well. Fuel and damage became an issue for both as he broke off to the closet German airfield. I gave chase for a little while until I saw some of his friends circling their airfield. It was then I hit the deck and weaved along the treetops back to England. We scrapped up again in the scenario, but it was interrupted by our squadron mates and we had to break off.We scrapped again in the BoB scenario where I collided with his wingman We have fought several times against one another in FSO with G3MF going toe to toe with JG11. Those fights are always a blast, because JG11 is a very disciplined fighter unit and knows what they're doing. We have clashed with JG11 on numerous occasions and the outcome is usually the same, we bag a few, they a bag a few, and then we go home. Sadly Ditto and I have shot the hell out of one another, but we just simply refuse to die!Hopefully in the near future Ditto will get more chances to fight it out. to Ditto and a to JG11 for being my top rivals in the game. Thank you guys for the rivalry, but also the friendly banter that goes with it
Speaking of the early days, Drex IMO was the best all round fighter, Cit/Fester was fantastic back then too (still is), but IMO Levi was the one that would make you shake your head and wonder "wtf" more than anyone else. Not just from fighting him, but just observing him while on his team - getting into the swarms of umpteen on 1s that he would, and how he would not only eventually get out alive, but do so after killing most of the red dots near him. The Spit5 with 240rnds back then = a lot of double digit landings for Leviathn. His little pixie avatar was always disturbing though...
Unfortunately we have far to many score mongers and chest thumping yahoos for these other players to shine through. Loud mouth braggarts who are giving lessons and others who toot their own horns about how good they are in an uber plane flown to it's strengths. Anyone with a little practice can do that. Then you have those that will up a storch only to bail it so they can shoot troops instead of fighting to save the base.
To me the best squad and player rivals in the game are those that you don't here from much. Players who almost never figure in the top 20 on any scoreboard. Players and squads that "play" the game, not "game" the game. Anyone who fights for it, whether it be a one on one, or two vs one, or a squad vs squad for a base, those are the top players and squads in the game and are the best rivals to fight.Unfortunately we have far to many score mongers and chest thumping yahoos for these other players to shine through. Bombers are for dropping bombs level and at altitude, not dive bombing. Vehicles are for hit and run tactics, not spawn camping. Storches are for spotting, not as a vehicle to to bail a defender.
If you want to play the game more realistically fly in the FSO and Scenarios. They all utilize how planes/GVs strenghts and weakness work in team cooridanted efforts. The MA is a sand pit where people can do what ever they want. That will never change. There will always be a different style of player in it. You can call people "scorepotatos" all you want but in reality most of those sticks are pretty good. You could bash each of their styles one by one but they all get kills, they capture bases, and they tare $h|t up. I think what you fail to realize is that most of these players have played the game for a long time and really understand how it works. If you want to he better at the game you have to learn how to get kills and avoid deaths easier. No one learns defense so they fail when they don't have the advantage. People don't utilize TU-S or 110s in the attack aspect. The majoirty of the people playing still have so much to learn. You have to learn a style and learn how to be effective in the MA style where everything goes.

I don't have rivals, I'm just happy that the other guy gives me a fight even if he is not at his best advantage.
