Going on the DL
« on: June 23, 2016, 12:13:25 PM »
I did quite a number on my left hand with a boxcutter last night (cutting a pool hose, of all things).  Blade went right through my hand.  Spent 3 hours in the ER.  There's nerve damage, and I will likely need surgery.  I tried playing this morning, and it's not working.  So, I have to head to the DL, at least for a few weeks.  I'll be back in July.

Take all the time you need.  Maybe I can live a little longer in a tank.  :lol :salute

In all seriousness, take care.   Been there done that.   I stab myself with an xacto knife.  Spewed blood everywhere like a squirt gun.

Thanks guys.  I've found a way to make myself useful.  I started creating new clipboard maps for AH3.  I'm about 1/4 the way done with the new vehicle field map.  Maps will be in two versions: an annotated black and white aerial recon photo, and a line-drawing on beat-up and creased paper stock.  Only reason I'm not doing something like we already have for AH2 is that I've been trying to create one from a screen shot and it's not working out well. Somebody must have spent a lot of time on the maps we have now, creating them from scratch.
