We all can word of mouth which Youtube has been the best vehicle for our game. Anything past that where you ask people to make donations of hardware and money, you need to talk to Dale the real CEO of HTC along with looking into the legalities for yourself and for HTC the company.

I trust Hitech has a plan or I wouldn't have stayed with the alpha then beta testing since August 2014.
Absolutely! I was just looking to have more input on this idea. I am not sure its even doable but wanted to see reactions of players. I am just trying to help out. You guys are pretty much the only non family interaction I have! Long story.  Also, not sure of this, but would any advertising cost be a tax credit, like mortgage payments or business expense? I know I didn't think this all the way through but feed back will answer my questions. The reason I thought it could be a tax credit is because I have seen multitudes of people who right off just about anything and get bigger refunds. In my way of thinking, its deceit, but was wondering on what can be used as a tax credit. I missed out on the good ole days, but would really love to experience that. So that's my driving force. Just got tired of seeing so many gripes about this game, with no ideas on how to countermand their perceived notions. I just don't want to lose any of you guys, due to a monetary problem. Also , was thinking only paid subscribers would be able to participate as they are the folk with skin in this game. I also thought about maybe having an option with volunteers willing to pay a bit more more . Income tax returns give an option to donate money to various institutions, I know they  are mainly non-profits, but the option is stll there.

I have to speak up, because I know 1st hand where 1stpar3 is coming from.  He has a very generous heart, and has shared with me his hardware just to see if it would help me with my  poor eyesight affliction.  He is not alone in this community full of folks far and wide who have time and again shown to be the best part of humanity.  I can recall squad mates of one player who gathered together and did major construction repairs on his home after storm damage.

But back to his question, what is it that we can do to respond to the negative clamorings?  No one wants to see this community fade, so besides the forums and beta testing how do we keep our compadres engaged?

Discussions along the line of "recommended hardware" have been helpful IMHO towards dispelling myths of the AH3 sky is falling.  I like Bustr's suggestion of youtube video infomercials  So, possibly a youtube channel with unofficial or official demonstrations.  All of this should be screened properly to insure that it in no way will break our agreement with HTC while beta testing:  Mostly, we have been warned not to make comparisons of the work in progress to any final product or assume HTC final product will function in the same way as during beta testing.  So, a lot of disclaimers, maybe?

Yea the scratches and stuff on the cockpit bug me, your looking passed them....shouldn't look like your looking at them.

Never fly much Junky in older planes?
No combat aircraft would have that much crap on the glass unless you were in Africa for 4 years without a re-supply. just because people's current home aircraft look like poo does not mean that a life taking/life saving aircraft would have that many scratches on the plexy. I have seen the lengths to witch the mechanics took care of the glass in the ETO and you can bet they were waxed and clear, because any speck that was on it could block an E/A from view wasting valuable seconds and possibly costing the pilots life.

Now granted dirt and dust would get on it from takeoff, but every aircraft we have now looks like its been in the A.Z. desert for years.

The YouTube channel idea is cool. In a similar vane, I though it would be cool if there was a way for some enterprising soul(s) to do something like "Red Vs. Blue", like the Halo community has produced. My son just went to a convention in Austin put on by the guys who started RvB, and have now built a whole company and following (with the Halo company's blessing) from humble beginnings. I think you could start with a flash-animation style for the out-of-cockpit scenes (such as they use for the "How It Should Have Ended" videos. If you're familiar with that web series, imagine our intrepid heroes in an O-club (one for the Allies, one for the Axis, kind of like the superheroes' cafe and villain pub scenes in HISHE vids) talking about the mission they just came back from (maybe even before and after scenes). Throw in a good does of humor, then gun-cam footage from the game for the action sequence, interspersed with more cut-scenes from inside the cockpit. Maybe even have two different avatars for each character; for in-game scenes, characters would have dashing Eerol Flynn like avatars, but back in the O-club, they would look like your average AH player's real-life forms...either young, pimply-faced skinny/fat kids, semi-balding over weight folks, or (as in my case) a studly country music singer :D.

A lot of work, but could become an interweb sensation! Any volunteers?

This. I would find it hard to believe that a pilot would be alright with that many scratches in his FOV before he took off to possibly fight for his life.

The players who will have most problems are those who areu sing a laptop since they can not upgrade the existing hardware.

There are external video card enclosures that laptop users can purchase if they need to upgrade their laptop's video card to run AH3.

Never heard these external drives existed. So know that I have heard it, how does that work?

They work like docking stations.  It's an external enclosure that you put a video card in and connect to your laptop.  The enclosures usually include their own power supplies (i.e. wall socket plug).  You just have to do some research to make sure the video card you want will fit in such an external case.

How do they connect to the laptop though? USB?

Back to the points made about YouTube videos, I wonder why a YouTuber like Froogle has never done a review of AH on his Frooglesim News weekly program.

The guy has 57,000+ subscribers, all flight sim enthusiasts.   What great, targeted exposure THAT would be for AH.  Unless, he considers it too much of a game and not enough "sim"?

Best bet is to buy a premium gaming laptop if you insist on using them.
They cost in the range of  2-3X for a desktop with the same performance.
They are also not upgradable the same way desktops are.

One of my favorite things about this game is that the player base is a bit older, which tend to lead to a somewhat more mature community than the loli culture that games like war thunder have.

It is also why it amazes me that this community seems to be so upset over having to upgrade. I would imagine that older people usually have more money to spend, since they are farther along in their careers etc. And quite frankly, the hardware needed for this game is not much at all. And yet I keep seeing threads with people asking if they need freaking 970s to run AH3.

And then there is the mentality of some  who seem outright flabbergasted that they have to upgrade their museum piece computer and its Pentium 4 processor. I am 26. I was playing this game when I was 14 or 15. It is beyond me how some people think that it is unreasonable to upgrade after such a long period of time. People buy cars more often than that.

The younger generation on the other hand practically vomits if they hear the words "subscription."
