ET, you were always a friend, from the first day you showed up till now. You will always be remembered with fondness. I'll miss not hearing of your past exploits but I know one day we'll be able to shoot the breeze again! Godspeed my friend and until we meet again,

Earl,

I enjoyed our conversations about your time flying the B29 and B50. I've lost too many friends in this game to the C. If you see an air dale named Bill Tuite from Jersey, tell'm his nephew says hey. You'll be missed,

WOW! What a man! If this doesnt show his character You are blind! It brought me to tears! Here he is, dying and knows it and not a bit of a sense of bitterness or dread! Obviously not wallowing in dis-pare as he took the time to address us personally on his status and to say good bye. Makes me feel like an ultra melon! Here I am, dreading my future with Multiple Sclerosis and in a bit of dis-spare over it. Right now its just a lot of small things, but the Dread and depression from it are ever present. I have no doubt at all, about where he will be. Pretty sure he wouldnt be this strong with out a strong faith. Ok, guess its time for me to quit acting like a little girl. See, he is even a strong influence even as he leaves us. What an example, What a man! Sir, keep those engines spooled up. We shall be there shortly

Earl, I never flew with you or against you (that I know of), never met you or spoke to you, but my life is a little bit better because, like ripples from a stone thrown into a pond  the way you played the game and the way you have conducted yourself has affected us all in some positive way. Thank you, sir.  :salute

I sparred (nicely) with him now and then over an inaccurate theory or two...but....   I loved flying high cover in my Mustang for his missions.   He always ran the show just like one would expect.   Very concise.  Calm.  Direct.   Clear with what was asked and expected.   Lots of fun.

Tailwinds.
