I dunno man, perks (fighter) accumulate like rodents in a grain silo. Have too many to possibly even use and I know its the same for alot of others out there.

I don't get what the problem is with that. After all, perks are not an in game currency. Perks were devised to control the usage of potentially unbalancing rides on a global scale.
When you have so many of them that it doesn't matter to you personally, what's the problem?

  38L perk...  Hint:  There's a reason most guys fly the J.  But L is higher, so it must be better right?

Perks have little to no worth if you are above average and play a lot/for a long time.  People who don't don't accumulate them nearly as quickly or in as large quantities.  I know a lot of people who have been around for years but don't play that often that still scrape to get a 262 together, particularly if they lose one every once in a while.

But back when I was flying as a regular, I rarely got above 400-500 fighter perks, because I constantly spent them.

No offense but that comment shows you really haven't flown the P-38 (any of them) for any appreciable time to get to know what it is and isn't capable of.  In no way does the P-38L warrant being perked in any fashion, other than perked ordnance.  Yes, it is a good zoom climb and good in the hands of someone that knows how to fly it but that hardly is any reason to call for it to be perked.

BnZ is easily defendable and 9 out of 10 38L's crash into the ground because they can't pull out of a compressed dive...  Why perk those at all?

I've had amazing fights in a KI61 against a KI84 and did not feel disadvantaged...  same with the P51 and the N1K... the 61 is a 35ENY plane.

Spit XVI is low top end speed compared to most LW rides and the F4U-1D is also nothing more than a bombtruck who's overall performance does not have any major advantages over any MW or LW planes.

Yak3 is very low ammunition and fairly slow.  It's great at flat turns and has good climb.  If you know this, it's easily defendable.

Please disregard the B26 numbers -- I happened into an unfortunate vulch and got the majority of those in one sortie...  I felt bad, but to quote the great Bobandy, mans gotta eat.

Even without the B26's, I have a positive K/D ratio in a KI61 -- I have no problem killing LA7s, P51s, P47M's and all sorts of other crazy rides in this lowly 35ENY plane.  Why again do these need to be perked?

I agree with all of this except the 190d9 part. That plane is far more capable that just BnZ. I'm assuming you haven't flown against someone with even a "decent" amount of skill. That roll rate will surprise several people using it in a tight scissor.

True, but you've got to have a ton of familiarity with it to do anything other than BnZ in it.  Kind of like the P47 line.  And if you get it too slow in a turnfight you've got a lot less options than you do in most other planes.

Honestly I think the D9's ENY could stand to be a bit lower but it doesn't deserve a perk.
