auto-take off disabled
« on: April 13, 2018, 02:01:42 AM »
Even though enabled in flight preferences, when taking off auto-take off is disabled until I manually enable auto-speed trim then auto-take off kicks in and works.

Deleting the settings folder and replacing it with the back up I have fixed the issue.

Sounds like a is calibration. Manual would switch you to 10% instead of 1

My auto-takeoff quits randomly.   Often it won't even come on despite being set as default.  I don't know what changed but it wasn't messing up this way before the update.

I wish you could put it back the way it was before.

I thought I'd try the auto auto-pilot, so enabled it before spawning. When I got onto the runway, the auto takeoff text appeared even though I did not have auto takeoff enabled.

Mine quit working after the patch, as well. Added some deadband and it seems fine now.

I will give that a shot.  Thanks.

Mine sometimes spawns enabled, sometimes disabled.

Calibrate your JS and see if it makes a difference.

I increased my deadband slightly and it seems to be working okay now.  :salute

I'll do that when I'm in next time.   That very well may be the case.  I noticed that auto take off worked sometimes and others not.  When it didn't work, my plane was getting a little rudder when it began to roll.  Although when lifting a B-17 formation, there was no rudder deviation and the auto-take off didn't work.  Again, I'll try recalibrating my joystick and let you know if that makes a difference.  It seems like auto-take off mode is more sensitive to trim movements than it was before, turning off auto-take off mode.

Thank you for sharing that with us, I'm sure it will be of immense help to HiTech in tracking down this possible bug.

If there is the slightest amount of joystick input as you spawn on the runway, auto-take off will become disabled.  Take hands off joystick and feet of pedals as you hit the button to spawn and auto-take off will not disable itself.  That's what I've found out through testing.
