For those concerned about glasses and lens inserts...
I don't know about the Oculus, but the Vive was designed to accommodate glasses. The side cushions have a slot to allow room for the stems, and the lens system can be adjusted back a tad to allow room for the lenses. I wear my computer glasses with no real problems.
Also, to the earlier poster worried about eye strain focusing at something inches from the eye, the lens system alters the perceived focal distance. For the Vive, the eye sees the screen at 75 cm away. That's why I use the glasses I use when regularly sitting at the computer. Although I love the VR so much, I'm thinking about getting some gaming contacts.
