You can move your default view point to where ever you wish. I.E. Back to how it used to be.
It was moved because the view point was set right at the head rest and not about 3-4" forward where you view point would really be. Having it this far back created issues with the animated pilot since it's view point(between it's eyes) is tracked to the current viewing point.

Right. Thanks for the explanation. Now, at the risk of sounding like a dick, all the time we have been complaining that the default view is not right and were told that it is because the whole sim is a perfect reflection of real life and the other sims. sorry my bad, games were wrong.....ummm seems that was not accurate. Maybe some of the other stuff we are saying maybe, just maybe correct also. Nothing in particular of course, not the stick stir dance or the spit flop or.. well you see where I am coming from.
