My girl, as I write this, is on the front lines testing people for coronavirus.
…
Bloody Hell icepak!!
This reads like the first draft of the opening scene of a Quentin Tarantino movie.
Be prepared for some changes though. Maybe (as suggestions):
1) You are going to have to get her the handgun, it can be big gun, but it has got to have some cats printed on the hand stock.
2) She is going to need to have some private medical clients on the side that she quietly tests for extra cash. These clients should probably be purportedly reformed anti-Castro activists living in Miami. You never find out their names, but you catch glimpses of them from time to time as they drive over in their restored 1960s Cadillac Coupe Deville to have their swabs taken and to hand over cash.
3) There has got to be an ex-boyfriend – perhaps a wrongly dishonorably discharged mid-shipmen who keeps showing up. BTW, you are going to have to shoot this guy at some point – not fatally, but at some point you shoot him.
4) You survive thru all of this, however, a retired mountain Baptist preacher moves in next door and spends all of his time reading the last 12 verses of the Gospel according to Mark to you while trying to get you to quit drinking. In a series of alarming moments, you seriously consider the advice. We never find out what you end up doing – it has all the clarity of a bit of a hanging chad.
I am sure that professional screen writers will have better suggestions/edits. Just keep an open mind and work them.
BTW,
... but I haven't yet convinced my girl that I need shots of whiskey as a preventative measure.
...
You need to tell her that it is medicinal and that there is a lot of peer reviewed documentation (luckily in easy to digest video form) on the internet.
Now not many people know this, (for example only about 200 people on the entire internet are aware of this testimonial) but just consider the science!
But seriously, a drink in these circumstances (assuming there are no real issues with your meds) might not be a bad idea.
Best Wishes
