No.  Contagious diseases will always spread faster in densely populated cities than it takes to infect Jethro living in a double-wide 10 miles out of Dog Bark, Missouri.

Texas has had 100k more total cases than NY. 
2nd in the Nation in new cases. 
2nd in the Nation in new deaths.

Texas is red state.  Ironic?

Thankfully our overall deaths have been less that NY because it took longer to get here and we had more time to learn from treatment lessons others had to learn for us.
