ENY is based off total numbers so ....

team      tower       flight        ENY

Knit        25           6              12.5
rook         5           10              0.0
bish          7           12              0.0

Knits have more total players but most are tower sitters so they have the lower number fighting/playing yet they still have an ENY restriction.


I know a number of you believe that there is nothing wrong with the game, unfortunately I tend to believe those 500 other players we USE TO HAVE playing on a Saturday night. There are problems with the game that are due to the game NOT changing with the times.

Many folks left for games with more eye candy. This game does not move forward with graphics as much so that folks with old machines can still play.

Just going to AH III caused a bunch of noise because some folks machines could not handle it.

Again changing with the times. The same goes for the players, you need to upgrade as you go along. I seem to remember a recent post about someone doing a bit of upgrading

Oh Yeah.... my computer ran AH fine but I wanted to run MSFS2020. My old machine was doomed there. LOL

I signed on... took a long time to start up, was able to take off.... somewhat. It was stop and go.... ROTFLMAO.

All I see is ENY doing it's job, as it should, as it is intended.

ENY isn't stupid, the players are in Fugi's "Tower sitting" case.

When a Team gets hit by ENY, the number of tower sitters increases rapidly because of ENY. They can't fly their low eny ride, so they are sitting in hangar, spamming the 'launch' button.
The ENY number isn't that high because of AFK tower sitters, it's the ENY that causes an ever higher number of tower sitter the higher it gets.

In the example used there are 37 total players

Map size, number of bases is a much larger issue than eny imo in that case.

With only 37 players you need about 5 bases total on the map.

By concentrating the action many other issues are solved by default
