I'm thinking more on the lines of a shotgun. Would really like an AR15 too though. But would probably be more beneficial to have a shotgun right now.
Im not a huge fan of pistols. I like big and bulkie as mistakes are a lot harder to make. Ive shot 45s 40s 9s and 22s, tech 9s, shotguns, 30 aught 6, ARs, and AKs. Nothing is more scary than a shot gun at close range.
I do like that one hitech posted tho. Very nice.
I guess I'll just have to see what the shop guy recommends.
get whatever you feel comfortable with. a few years ago took my wife to get a 9mm, they kept pushing us to a 357, kept telling him that we wanted a 9mm, asked for another salesperson, he said 357 would be better, we left, not sure why they kept pushing the 357.
the only question we had was which 9mm would be better.
also if you don't know how to clean it, then learn till you can do it with your eyes closed while in the classroom with a professional trainer. otherwise don't do like one of my stupid friends. he watched a YouTube video and took apart an ar15, which he had never fired, he asked me to put it back together, i refused, I've fired them but never owned one, never taken one apart. threw everything in a bag and took him to a gun store and had them do it. my friend wasn't happy, i didn't give a crap.
anyway, guess my point is have an idea what you want, which you do, but also practice with it, which i think you already know.
congratulating on your first purchase i still have my first gun.
