Icecream on Mars
« on: February 19, 2022, 12:47:38 PM »
Hey guys

I wanted to invite you to my "other" forum, https://icecreamonmars.com/

There are probably a lot of you that remember my FW forum. Maybe 900 AH'ers had joined that one going back to 2008. It's still around, but I left it as a member. I just admin that one

ICOM  - icecreamonmars, is meant to be more of a friendly place. Several former and current AH players are there, but it's not the zoo that FW is.
We mostly talk about games, videos, current events - whatever.

Still no moderation, to a point. It's not a FW type of place. You can say pretty much whatever you have to say, but I won't allow people to be bullied or harassed.

Hope to see you guys!

I wanted to add that I know a lot of you still and I miss you guys. There are no hard feelings for anyone, and I really like you guys. Even ones I gave a hard time to.

All are very welcome. I'd love to see you guys.

Who'd you give a hard time to? This might be a bonding moment.  :old:

Well, not too many I don't think. The FW was not for the weak of heart though. No moderation and only one person banned in about 13 years (now two)

The hard time part came as a member - not as a typical moderator using moderator powers to mess with people. Just basic back and forth fighting that turned sour at times, I'd say

I left FW years ago. Got tired of the BS and after I found myself wanting to block more than a couple folks there due to their behavior, figured out I just did not need the hassle and left. No drama. I didn't post the "I am leaving and you all suck" notice. I just stopped showing up and deleted the "favorite" link in my browser.

Hi Maverick!

I'm so glad you stopped over. I replied to that thread of yours.

How have you been? Are you still living the RV life?

Nope settled in the TX Hill Country. The wife wanted to come back to where she grew up. We parked the RV in 17.

You on the river?

Not on the river although it is less than a half mile away. Flood ins was not something I wanted to deal with.
