It was just done yesterday. Bugs with this type of change need to be worked out. Not everything goes smoothly. There’s effort being made. The whole project is effort.

It's on the provider and it isn't rocket science. A transition like this should go more smoothly. Maybe Boeing sub contracted the job.

Backseat driving isn’t helpful.

HT was working on it last night, it was shut down again. Its not like he changed it and whipped the bird. He obviously has good intensions.

The problem may not be on his end. We don’t know yet. We are guessing.

My ping is 45-50

It sure seems to be on the user end.

I'm confident it's the provider as I mentioned. Somewhere there's a routing table that wasn't updated. But you calling me a backseat driver is the epitome of irony™.

Appears 1 issue is Frontier has a bad route from some areas.

HT did you change provider or was it just a in-spot upgrade?

Same provider but they need to change my Ip's to upgrade.

No issues for me in AZ from 2130-0130 EST 5/16-17

*except for a few unusual game sounds* - not much of a bother though
They're casting their bait over there, see?

The problem with the BBS persists for me as well. Wouldn't surprise me if everyone having trouble is also using Frontier as their provider. Outdated routing table.

I switched from Sparklight to Frontier 3 months ago. No problem with Sparklight but Frontier offered twice the speed for the same price, 2Gbps up/down. My switches and adapters are all 1Gbps and there are only two of us using it so the difference isn't noticeable.

Good to see it's getting worked out.  I'll try and jump on this afternoon again and report back

Also if you have a vpn it should also get you working .

Frontier know about the issue and has and advanced ticket on it.

Yep seems like DNS is breaking down at the 4th hop. Can you ping the IP with/without? If so then it's DNS. If not then it's a routing issue.

Just for future reference, ping and DNS are two entirely different protocols. A DNS server may not necessarily respond to a ping, that doesn't mean anything is wrong.
