shouldnt see any improvements, bandwidth has never been an issue for the game.

Probably true. However there is movement which leads to longevity. Ya don’t upgrade if ya just want it to die off. There could be future intensions, and this could be the base of it. Not holding my breath, just sayin itd good to see movement of any kind.

Or maybe it was cheaper to get a new faster service under a contract locked in for a few years rather then keep the old existing service

Update to 2G?  Guess this 2G means something different as "G" goes? I am running a 5G connection? Eh, all this might as well be Voodoo to me :old:   I am with you...any change is good change...he is still participating :uhoh

more than likely Aces High is just a side gig and the upgrade is for primary business at the building.

I have 2Gbps for about $100/mo. Almost 30 years ago I paid more for 128Kbps ISDN. My clients were paying $1,800/mo for a T1.

I still remember the day I went from Dial-Up to DSL...I was slaying fools in Rainbow 6, went from over 300ms to under 100 if I recall.

When I started i had dial-up dsl, 9600 baud rate, 28k was lightning speed in those days. Then got 57k and thought I was king.

Dsl was better than cable, less packet loss.

I started playing this game here in the a** end of rural eastern Oregon on dial-up. 20 years later, there is fiber optic strung out through the more populated areas (populated doesn't mean much around here), but landline service still absolutely sucks.
