Iron butterfly was my first ever concert. At the Avalon Ballroom in 68 I think. Buddy Rich at Disneyland. Charley Daniels at winterland  and the Cow Palace playing second bill to Heart.
No one has mentioned Robin Trower. Saw him x 4. My other guitar hero...https://youtu.be/IuJfA0LguQk?si=RkYV20jjTCcOuIvi

Fixed (use the YT "Share" button link)

Trower is a killer. Great tune, better studio version. Did a show with him in 82, all original band. Had to use the weirdest mixing console ever. Easy show, had a good time. James Dewar vocals really made that happen.

I got the privilege of working with Crosby and Nash. I wore holes in their albums. So it was pretty epic for me. Crosby called me on stage to talk, he wanted me to cause his gtr to feedback at the end of Wooden Ships. So we rehearsed it. The whole time I’m thinkin “How did I get here”. It can be really weird to work with an idol, which happened often.

Guess Who was my 3rd band, meh! Not the same singer, they had a metal voice singing. He blew it.

Did a Buffalo shiw, it was pretty good, not original band tho. The older the band the more likely

Major problem new high quality musicians aren’t being found,…the rock clubs are gone. In my days they were everywhere. Thats where agents found new talent to push. All these people started in rock clubs and coffee shops. They were vetted ling before they got s top billing. Now YT killed that platform.

Today some if the famous stuff is pkayed with a kick drum, snare drum, hi-hat and 3 keys on a keyboard,…not to mention vocals so horrible they get drenched with auto-tune and FX to mask it.  And its really just looped samples. 10 secs of playing for 4 minutes of no talent trash.
