I may give hanging a try. I recently went to several PT sessions for shoulder pain. It started a few years back when I tried lifting up our heavy garage door thinking it was unlatched. I gave it a hard pull with left arm thinking it would come up easily but it was was latched and the left shoulder didn't like that at all. My shoulders used to make noise from not having firm muscles to keep it all in place but the simple exercises they had me do tightened it up nicely.
Lets get on with the hanging!  Have to be careful when you say something like that nowadays.  :lol

For my chin-up bar (to hang from) I got one like this that hangs from my top molding, because my moldings are strong enough to hold it:

If you don't have moldings strong enough, you can something like this, but I would put the screws in and not just use pressure and friction to hold it in.  You don't want these things letting loose while you are hanging.

So, they have a rope on a pulley with two handles, you hang it from a door, sit in a chair, and use the opposite arm to help you reach full extension with the weak arm. They're about $10 on Amazon. And they absolutely work.

For me, I couldn't even get my arm straight up and down for a bit.  It was more just holding onto the bar.  And eventually, I could put a little pull on my arm (just a very small amount), then a little more, etc.  It took a couple of weeks.

I spoke with my Physical Therapist about hanging onto a chin-up bar. He said, "Uh, hold off on that a little bit."

I had a young lady Physical Therapist today. She tortured me but was extremely helpful. (I'm sore)

Had a heart scan Tuesday. I was in the 25th percentile among men my age. I took it has good news. However, I'm not so sure. Zero is the goal and my score was 169.5. I feel somewhat fortunate since I used to smoke and I ate rather poorly. I started Keto in December 2023 and Carnivore in April 2024. I'm down nearly 130 lbs. with some of that loss being before I was diagnosed with Diabetes and from Diabetes itself.  I feel better than I have in decades. I wonder what that score would have been in 2023!

Today I walked 3 miles, went to the Wellness Center and completed more than a dozen exercises. After a short nap I went target shooting. I was going to the archery range but decided that maybe that was bit much in one day.

Good news Getback.
Personally I just got my blood test for Monday’s physical. A1C is down to 6.0 from 6.8 which is good but my cgm gives me a %GMI of 5.7 so I was hoping for it to be lower than 6.0.
Sure does take time undoing all the unhealthy results if not thinking about your health when you get around to being healthier.
