Windows 7 and a discrete sound card add interesting variables. Does the sound card itself provide for input testing?

I checked this box to verify it works.  Mic level is at 100%.

So you could hear your microphone played back. That means your soundcard and microphone work. Most likely they'd also work in many applications like Teams, WhatsApp, Discord... Which means there's something wrong in your AcesHigh sound settings.

Tried to find the location for the sound card in AH Settings but couldn't find it. The ones you posted look right, maybe changing them to other options, saving and rebooting in between and reverting back to originals might solve the issue.

I just put my old soundblaster Xfi into my new Win11 machine. I didnt like how the sound was played with the onboard sound. I found the mic wasnt working. I switched it back to the onboard sound and the Mic works there. So I have the soundblaster for the playback, and the onboard for the Mic.

Might try that.

He said the game crashes when mic is onboard.  Maybe remove soundcard in hardware and reboot. Sometimes there is just a little hitch in the giddyup.

The good old days. Juggling 2,3,5, and 7. Some devices would share, most wouldn't.

Does your computer have an onboard mic jack on the motherboard? Try that and see what it does. I have windows 7 and use the onboard mic jack for the audio and it works fine
