How the World has Changed
« on: May 30, 2025, 12:51:06 AM »

2020:  "There's an App for that."

2025:  "Is that AI?"

I find myself having to ask that about everything I see now.

Youtube is promoting some chinese scam where they are using AI commercials to pretend like its an old man going out of business selling high quality hand made bags. Don't fall for it!

Youtube should be sued and reprimanded for this IMO.

Silly videos aren't the concern..

AI tied to these...and once arming them is permitted..

Moore's Law: Hardware capability doubles every 2 years.

Trip's Law: AI capability will double every single year.

It's going to be a lot harder for youngsters just trying to get going in life.  Are we now lucky to be getting old?  I'm glad I'm at the end of my regular career phase, rather than the beginning, TBH.

BUT, here is no putting the Genie back in the bottle.  There in no un-ringing the bell.  Neither of those are an option.

The only options now are learn to profit from it, or be destroyed by it.  Well, assuming you are still in business or the employment market or care about anyone who is.

Every young person should start seriously reconsidering any physical trade that can't be done by AI.  We'll at least not for a while longer.  The next phase will have to be to start giving AI physical externality.

It's already starting.  At this moment I have one robot doing the floors and another robot mowing the lawn while I have my coffee.  I was amazed at how well they function.  I was very skeptical going in.

Ha!

Some believe what they want to believe, not reality.
Usually the conspiracy mongers , who cling to things they know nothing about.
Amusing if it wasn’t so disturbing.

I need to dip myself in acid every time I read political delirium on bbs.

It’s fun to look at the comments on youtube videos that are clickbait and clearly say “FICTION” in the description.

That's just to nudge a little skepticism.
