The A5 is the best turn fighter of the group, probably the best midwar fighter other than the P38J. Acceleration, dive speed, roll rate, and 500 cannons make it very good, but cant out turn a 109, p38, F4u, Ki84, nik, or spit given equal pilots. Its almost a good turn fighter but not quite. Its a moderately hard plane to fly in the MA if your team isnt winning the fight since you can't outrun as many planes like you can in a D9. Forcing you to turn fight.
The A8 is horrible for dog fighting. Id only use for HO rampage and to attack low bombers. Best for shooting tanks, shooting buildings, and destroying manned guns and radar.
The F8 is practically worthless. I consider one of the worse planes in the game. Very tough to be consistently successful in it.
The D9 is practically one of the best fighter interceptors in the game. Fast acceleration, amazing climb, amazing dive, amazing roll rate, with high powered cannons and 50 cals. Its one of the best planes for noobs to learn E management. Extremely tough plane to shoot down with its speed and flappy roll rate.
The 109s have to be flown much differently than a 190. Its not the same fighter style. 109s arent BnZers really. They are more like sharks weaving in and out of a large fish hoard making quick unpredictable strikes. The G6 imo is the second worst 109 behind the E. Id recommend either the G2 or G14 if you dont like the 1 30mm k4. The G2 turns better, is lighter, and much easier to handle and aim than a G6. Its slower but generally speaking you are gonna have to turn with it regardless if in a G2 or G6, so youre better off in a G2 that turns better. The G2 if flown with correct vertical ACM can outurn most unsuspecting fighters with flaps out. The G14 is a great plane but still just a little slow. One of my favorite planes in the game. It can out turn some Spitfire pilots if you know what youre doing but has to be flown with vertical ACM. I always recommend gondolas because hitting a plane with 3 20mms is way more effective than 1 and can mean you may not have to chase as long and get picked following. 109s cant dive well. And that presents the largest issue for BnZ pilots who arent practiced in spiral dives.
The 190A5 is certainly more of your style, and im glad you are switching to that, but just realize you'll probably get ganged more and youll need to practice reversal ACM and 1v1 ACM to be able to get away from more fights. This makes the game more fun for others though instead of just hitting X and "extending" away because your plane is a super late war speedster.
