i think night should be longer and dawn and dusk be shorter.

i agree with the guns getting damaged and not the rest of the plane.

Fatty, imagine me at your six with a faster plane and you pursuing an enemy. You start to fire while I dive below you to overpass and then you see my ugly silouette emerging in front of you with a lot of beautiful flashes in the tail and BOOM... ... of course, your fault... ...Next time better you have a periscope to see what is comming from behind and below your plane while tracking the enemy at your 12.

Are you saying you completely ignore everything except the little plane in your sights?  No wonder you have such a problem with killshooter.

Yes, the above would be the shooter's responsibility to avoid, it would be easily within his power by excercising the most limited situational awareness.

Fatty, so, when you open fire you also look back, left, right, upwards, and roll invert to see if there are any friendlies aproaching fast, right? Congrats for your SA, you better patent it because it actually doesnt exist.

Hehe, I imagine you tracking a con and then looking back to see if there are any friendly passing fast before opening fire, then looking forward again and, surprise, no enemy there, back again, and surprise again, enemy at your six and smiling... yep, greeeeeat SA.

Yeah... lag schmag.  If we did it your way, that lag would be the reason why you barrel roll under a cons nose at D 1.4 at the merge, yet explode just as you complete your lead turn.  You think that would be better?

If it's possible to exploit the current collision model at all (and I don't think it is), it would be if you had a laggy connection, not a good one.  It's very hard to judge what he is seeing, as you don't know what his portion of the you-host-him latency loop is like.  I challenge anybody to film exploiting the collision model by "ramming" people.  Go for it... you'll kill yourself a lot by flying in front of their guns.. turst me.  About the only time you might pull it off would be versus a buff on auto-level.  Still, I give you a 1% shot of living long enough in the buff's gunnery range to see if it even worked.

Please, I want to see a film of somebody in the main getting kills by ramming, LOL.  Please try this on me... I could use the free kills. :)

You're right, what was I thinking.  Everyone knows it's too much to ask for to be aware of a plane closing on your 6, regardless of whether it's green or red.

Night..needs more work. tune down the dash. make vis more like vis at night Throw in a ground mist...he he, the clouds glow over a burning base...
Killshooter. fine
Collisions.  fine but might be improved to have less then total destruction of one or the other... Have each lose a wing tip if that is what happend. Not allways full destruction. If you cant tell for sure what happend then randomly determine what the collision was and assign logical damage to each based on that.

It's not always total distruction in my experience.  I've torn a wing off before and simply spiralled to my doom instead....

Two times I have lost a wingtip in colisions.
Landed one of them.

It's not that tough to do. All you have to do is figure out where the bogie will be in 1/2 second or so or so and fly there. I havn't tried to do this and have no films of it but it has happened to me a few times. Trying to kill a Lanc recently I pulled up from underneath but had miss judged and flew up verticaly from his nose and 200-300 out...result was a Lanc spinning to the ground with the pilot spouting on CH1 that I was a ramming dweeb...I guess he was right that time :/
