C'mon HT +)  thanks for 1.09 and all but please!!

get a real host for these files...

Based on past updates...

can we expect the host to suffer for the next coupla weeks?  I mean now the player base is larger than its ever been by a large amount, so I know the downloads will be continuing for at least a coupla weeks.

It was bad for all the updates I can remember.. i hope this one isn't gonna be the same...

I've got my own T-1 and I stoped the download cause it was only going at 893 bytes a second... sheesh, I'll try again in the morning.

If you are using the auto-updater,...its gonna be slow.  Download the patch from the download server from the web page.  That should be much quicker.
Getting hit with 100's of connections at once on the autoupdater.

Same here was downloading at a whopping 1k a sec, and it just stopped downloading at 2.5 megs.  This is insane.

I was getting pretty poor DL rates too, but got to about 45% complete and it zipped right through. Only problem now is that it wont open. "Could Not Initialize Installation.(CRC)The Paramater Is Incorrect" is the mesege I get when I try to open the install wizard. Tried downloading the full version too, same results. All that waiting, and now I cant even install it:mad:  Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

That wasn't the updater SKuzzy, but its now up to 4.5k/sec...

Im on cable too.. was going at a whopping 700bps  till 2 megs then WHAM! disco.

I already suggested that HTC e-mail or send some of us KAZAA users the file so we can host this patch in an alternate method, get the load off him.

So far this is horrible.

I'd like to leave it goin and take a nap...

but.. i am at 37% and i've had to restart the download 5-6 times at least do far.....

Finally got it but get the white screen..

I finnally downloaded it and then it will not let me log on.   All I get is the white screen of death.  There must be something new in 1.09 as we can now ALT tab out of the white screen but it is still frustrating..     Tweak it out HT...

WTF, HTC not notice their subscription rate went up by about 500 per cent ?

...or didn't they think there'd be a lotta folks notice ??

hehe, just downloaded the whole package + the new helpfile in a couple of minutes while you Yanks were finally sleeping  :D

now all i need is a good connection to the MA itself ...  :(
