I just don't see how that can be legal.  I would hope that anybody caught (lol yeah right at that speed) driving in exess of oh say 150 to 200 mph on a public road would spend a few years in prison to learn the lesson....

Wow! at 180mph you go 45 miles in 15 minutes!!! that's aprox. 3  miles a minute.  You'd be a mile away before the cop could get his car started and get on the road. 2 miles away before he got up to speed enough to realize you're out of sight.  At 250 mph you go aprox 4.166 miles in one minute.  I just don't see how this can be legal, driving isn't a right it's a privilage........

 nice car though :D

Bear in mind, if I won the lotto, I'd keep this garaged in Germany, near the Autobahn. :D  Or in Eastern Montana...after I grew tired of driving it, I'd have it partially pay for itself by touring it in Car shows. :D

It seems I saw or read somewhere that all Bugatis are custom made and you have to be accepted to own one - much like applying for an upscale condo in NY.

The source said that they wanted to make sure the new owner had the means for upkeep of the car and wouldn't be forced to sell it if they fell on hard times (and hence, sell it to someone who wouldn't take care of the car).

I don't think you could own one, Rip.  They'd be afraid the car would be up on blocks in front of your trailer home inside a year :).  And besides, I don't think it comes in brown.

Its a joke in the European circle of car builders, has to do with the engineering differences in American Auto manufacturers and the European Auto Manufacturers.  I have American Farm Machinery too (Ford) as well as a German car, and I must admit, they're (the Europeans) waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of us in the engineering dept. :(

Long term, yes, but I don't currently have a Pilots license, it would probably take me the better part of a year to be even qualified for jets, let alone Vintage WW2 aircraft.  The car is within reasonable grasp, immediately after winning the lotto, the airplanes?  Still a dream away no matter how much money you got.

Would it take a year if you didn't have to work while doing it?

Are the requirements for certification in a single engine (piston) WW2 aircraft any more difficult than any other single engine (piston) aircraft?

That car looks like a dildo on wheels.

If I won the lotto I'd get myself a Yak-9 or Yak-3 from Russia. Or hell, even an I-16 or I-153- those things would be chump change if I won the lotto. Can't be more than a hundred thousand.

Bah, that judge has character, and its the down in the dirt trump on it load muscle car character that shouts I am American and love it!

as opposed to I am to good for you, you lowly peasant character of some euro cars!

lol I bet that Bugati needs a full time mechanic to ride shotgun to fix all the stuff that falls off as you drive it around!
