I don't know what you mean by "real"
+'s
Looks like a bridge ( astetically looks great)
No huge Frame rate loss ( tested with only 8 players)
You can cross them with GV's
You can fly under them with planes.
you can land AC on it ( small planes)
you can collide with the bridge.
you can capture them ( one half is owned by one country and the other half still owned by another)
Parts and sections are independantly destroyable.
Bombable.
boats and De's battleships Cv's can cross under.

-'s
You can also shoot threw the road:(
which Pokie and I found a work around. But they Still need alot of work.
Bomb damage ( crater) shows in mid air after bridge is destroyed.
Same with the mannable guns on the bridge.
You can slitely see threw the bridge.
CV's as a group cannot pass under.
slite weirdness, where bridge touches the land (clipping).
Gv's shadows while on bridge show on water.
bridge show no shadows.
post holding up bridge pass below water line and can still be seen. ( good thing or bad? verdict is still pending)

But i would agree it's enought -'s to keep them out of the game for now.

For H2h they are Freakin FUN!!!!!!! For the Paying customer they wouldn't be up to HTC's standards.

Hope this helps answer everybodies questions.

Nuttz..

Thanks for clarifying.  The bridge looked great in the clip... nice work.  Hopefully there will be workarounds for the other issues before long.  Its always amazing to see this stuff progress.

Skuzzy,

Why couldn't that last post have been your first?

Shane,

I thought it was funny Skuzzy  :)

Why don't you come down to Salem DJ.  I'll buy the first round at Starz and throw down a few bucks so you can get some titties shook in your face.

No thanks SOB... I'll stick to getting offended when a question directed at map makers is responded to with a metaphore about  "player's" unreasonable expectations on HiTech.

Excuse me for not thinking it was funny.

BTW.. that metaphore is funny when people ARE placing unreasonable expectations on HiTech.  It just amazes me it was thrown into this thread.

Why was it not my first post?

Well,..I was in the mood for some humor, as the boards sometimes do not get much of it.  There were no hidden agendas, mo metaphores, and I was not implying anyone was pressuring HT into doing something else.
Again, in the General Forum, I like to keep it light and was not aware it would irritate anyone.

After I realized you were not going to take it lightly, I went ahead and did a serious one for you.  In future I will note when you are starting a thread and respect that you do not wish an attempt at humor to be interjected into it.  I have no problem with that.

Skuzzy... if you tell a story as a response to a thread.. it is a metaphore.  Why else tell it?  You thought of a totally unrelated funny story and needed someplace to put it so you picked this thread?

But.. we'll just leave it at "its all me".  I can deal with it.

LOL Oct!  Ya, we do sound like a married couple.  ROFL!

Ok,..why tell it?  Deja, if you choose to view it as a metaphore, then that is your choice.  With all the problems in the world today, I try to seize opportunities to make a stab at laughter, either by creating it or reacting to it.
I was not looking for a place to post this.  I read your original post, and I happened to be in a rather humorous mood, had this thing play out in my head and chose to share it, thinking that it would be funny.
No agendas, and definately not to upset the thread.  It was just a post.  Had I forseen it was going to be this much trouble, I would have not posted it as it goes directly against what I would have thought the reaction might have been.

I honestly believed HT would have been the only one who could have really answered this with any accuracy.  However I did make an attempt to give you a serious answer, even while NUTTZ was posting his response.

No need for finger pointing from I can read, but that is my perspective.  You made it clear you thought it was out of context, I can respect that, and in the future, as I said before, I will honor that.  In that light is the reason I replied with a more serious post to help answer the question.

No harm, no foul.  At least, that is how I see it.  I see nothing inherently wrong with coming to a mutual understanding, and I believe we have done just that.
