Zigrat, Who is the sick one here? First of all I wasn't talking about abortion, so all I will say on that topic is that I don't feel I have the authority to tell a woman she MUST give birth to an unwanted child. IMO, to feel like YOU have the moral authority to sentance a woman (or young girl, in many cases) to give birth to a baby is much sicker than the pro-abortion crowd.
My response to Mighty1's contention that we should have just let the dog die once he finished consuming the carcass of the dead Indonesian seaman, agreed to by so many on this thread, was that respect for life encompasses ALL of Earth Mother's creatures, from humans to animals to fish to plants even.
We are a society governed by laws, and as long as abortion is legal I can eat seeds and nuts with a clear concience. Between apples, seeds, nuts, raw cow's milk and breathology techniques I'm in excellent health and, in fact, can even poop on command. Let's see you red meat eaters do THAT, huh?
One misconception of PETA is that it's a leftist orginization. Nothing could be further than the truth. While it's true there's more Democrats than Republicans in the general membership, the more fervent members- those of us who commit acts of terrorism against meat processing plants and pet stores- are Republican flag-waving George W. Bush supporters who happen to love animals. Thank Mothers Nature and Earth for the right wing extremists within PETA who are willing to risk imprisonment to call attention to the shameless exploitation of our wildlife.
