Go aheah and slap your hands over your ears and repeat after me..."LaLaLaLa"...now see, no whines heard so there MUST be no problem at all and EVERYBODY must just love the new map!

BTW, a very nice job on the map, it needs some tweaks but the most important "tweak" will be a 3x increase in the player base.

You seem to be assuming that I now have more control over what map is in the MA than you. Guess what, I don't.

BTW, Thanks

This is one thing that irks me and I've seen it all too often in these threads...

Not to fear, there are people, myself included, that are exploring the terrain editor now because of the current situation. I guess that is one of the good things this map has done for this community.

You lost me on this one. Where do I imply that you have any control over what map is used? There is ONLY one map in the MA right now and nobody has control over which map is used except for HTC, and the balls in their court now.

The game wont suffer due to the lose of one player like myself anyway.

Isnt it sad how things work out?

GWB didnt win any election, he was chosen by the supreme court (in fact he lost by 543,895 votes).   So we are stuck with one more baldwin.  Talk about the raunchy end of the stick.

Beyond this, i dont think a map shaped like pizza, dumbo, or even one shaped like a uterus, is ever going to make the whiners really take there ball elsewhere.

I do wish the terrain editor was a little more easy to understand.  I have tried it, and it is not that intuitive.  Maybe this is something a group of go getters like the AK could do.  Give HTC some really great tips on how to quickly and easily change the editor to a more understandable system?  Perhaps one that is the equivilant of 'and idiots guide to making AH maps'

Something where you couldnt be too creative, but still produce something nice in a couple of weeks.   Which could then be 'tweaked' by somebody with a real clue on how to do it.

You guys crack me up, really.

My statement wasnt a threat, its just where I am at right now.  I am reevaluating whether to keep my account based on my level of fun.  I dont find this map fun.  Why should I keep playing?  Everyone will agree I am sure that I should quit if I dont enjoy the game.  That is all I am saying, I know full well HT wont be strongarmed into changing, and I wouldnt bother with a threat.

But, I do think HT deserves to know what the players are thinking, and even those who are considering leaving.

I tried not to be too critical and rather state how I feel about the current situation.

Maybe I shouldnt have posted my original post, after all it just reflects an email I sent to HTC mentioning my feelings.  Alot of changes take a long time to get used to.  This map, in my opinion just doesnt fit the game right now.

I will try it a little more yet, but I logged off last flight so disgusted I didnt have any enthusiasm about the game at all.

For anyone considering mentioning me needing a trainer, I dont need a trainer. Well, I wouldnt mind working with Drex on ACM, but I know how the game works. I was a trainer myself.  I know about shutting off stuff to make the map clearer.

I cant off the top of my head remember any one single change to this game that seemed to be unpopular as the oversize pizza map.

I am going to resist the temptation to call everyone names who disagrees with me, seems silly when others do it.

Turn off all map icons. Very easy to see the dar bar and where the fights are.

Highlight squadmates name, click goto.

Highlight another persons name you know is fighting, click goto.

If all else fails, zoom the map in.

Yes, this doesn't have the same concentrated quakeball warpfests of prior to 1.10. And this is a bad thing because you guys don't have to fight warping cons now?

But it's kind of funny, you people assume they have another map ready to be introduced into rotation.

If they did, wouldn't it already be in rotation? So basically what I'm getting at is threatening to close your account, or saying "I'm going away for 10 days and things damn well have better changed or I'm leaving", ain't exactly gonna light a fire under HTC's tulips to get these maps done lickety split.

Hasn't even been a f'in week and already people are complaining to leave.

Jebus, get a grip.

Great.  Part of what we wanted to accomplish is to get other people over the urban myth that it was impossible to get a user map in the MA.  Like our map or not, at least its proven that if you abide by all HTC's constraints and requirements, they are willing to give a player map a try.

The balls in your court now.  Show us what you've got.  Making your own terrain is a much more constructive way of showing us how you think it ought to be done.

If I can be of any help, let me know.

Not to hijack completely,

but yes tumor.

The supreme court stopped any recount, so in effect, they selected gw, rather than allow the normal popular election (the one which we all voted in) determine who the electoral college members are that represent each state.

Recounts happen all the time, nothing strange.  Heck gw may have won in the recount, at least then he could say he had been elected.

(edit) oh , and I believe we can all be trusted to vote, we should toss that old party faithfulls club anyway.

(edit) Say AK guys, just how long did it take to make the pizza anyway?  I personally like it, just curious.
