This is why your old high school coach told yas ".. and fellas, look... once we DO get in the endzone, act like you've been there before, OK?"

:)
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Yeah, Knights just won this year's Darwin award tonight... We were under a massive assault on Mainland, and yet... 50% of them were chasing the Holy Dildo at A25 ... go figure
(No, they were not enjoying a good furball, the were trying to capture A22...)

Well, for myself, I was tooling around in a GV on the central island, and picked up a personal milestone -- I was in an M8 and gunned down a PzIV spawning NW from V2, working at a range of around 1800 yards. Watching my fire arcing down and falling around him as I adjusted my lead (well, until I blew off a track) and elevation was really fun -- and being able to track and kill a target at that range was a nice skill test.

Actually, the turning point was when, reduced to two fields, the new dicta of AKDejaVu was adopted by the Bishops.

In Alabama we attribute that quote to Bear Bryant :)

to all the Knights in the valiant defense effort to hold our main island. It took 3 Days of fighting on two fronts to bring Knitland to it's knees, days of heroic CV bombings without regard for our own lives, getting it on in 3:1 furballs, breaking enemy vulch-caps... it was fun !

Problem for the reader: How many languages could this code be valid in?

:D:D:D

At least perl and php.  Probably tcl and python, though I never use them.  Oh, I'm sure you could force that into looking something like C or C++.  Personally, I was thinking:

Country myCountry = Map.pickCountryWithMostPlayer s();

while(stillFieldsAvailable())
{
  int fieldNumber = myCountry.findBusiestField();
  moveTo(fieldNumber);
  while(isAvailable(Hangar.FIGHTER))
  {
    Plane myPlane = getRandomDweebPlane();
    fly(myPlane, Direction.NORTH);
  }
}

Yeah, we Knights actually had a numbers advantage at one point, but only just managed to bring the base count number to parity with the other sides.  Took us all of three days to fall, which isn't bad considering how quickly we fell the previous 4 maps.

days of heroic CV bombings without regard for our own lives

They squeak about "bishops skill less suicidal attacks", while calling their own suicidal attacks "heroic". All in a same thread :D

At one stage on Saturday it was Knights 35, Rooks 25 and Bish 7 (or something much like that). Knights had just rolled Bish back from the centre of our home island to the edge of theirs as well as pushed Rooks back north to gain a lead. I was just beginning to think we had a reset coming when the majority of knights decided it was time to leave bish alone and take the central islands from Rooks. Where are our strat potatos when we need them? :).

btw salute to Bish for the big tiffie raid that took a35 from us earlier that afternoon. I was one of the poor defenders and it was quite impressive. I didn't see any kamikaze attacks in the short time I lasted.

Hey, ease up on the squeakups!  They generally got so little to be proud of, let 'em have their little moment of glory.  :)
