Ok, thats great.  If anyone was flying Rooks last nite, there was about a 45 minute "discussion" regarding a player "Mandie"    Some of it was pretty crude, some of it was downright obnoxious towards Mandie.  Unfortunately, it was a country channel discussion, so you bish and nits won't know what I'm talking about.

Now I personally have never seen Mandie online before last night, so I don't know if there is a past history of this player "egging" it on, but from what I saw last night,  some of the comments were hardly respectful of your fellow players.

I seriously considered loggin for the nite because of that B.S.

Live and let live.  Until you have to shoot them down :D

Modas, I don't know if you remember me YELLING, to "shut up, knock it off".  I probably look like an amazinhunk when doing it, in hindsight, I'm glad I snub stupidity.  I squelched her, DarkStar, TACRTC and OGIE last night because they were acting quite pre-pubescent.   Where in the hell did this Mandie come from anyway?

Modas, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

I doesn't matter if anyone from HTC is blue, green, grey, or polka dot.  If we give you a warning, pay it heed, or suffer the consequences.  Just because we are not speaking in blue does not give you the right to disrespect us, or anyone in the arena for that matter.  It's not a hard concept to figure out, and it is no different in any other business.

If HTC is worried about online chat offending customers, we should have a permanent squelch list, and be able to squelch channel 2 and the "range" voice channel.  As it is, we have to "listen" to the children until we get fed up enough to squelch them individually.

you guys are missing the point.

It's not up to the Software to regulate the players...It's up to the individuals to control themselves.

this isn't a forum for "free" speech (BBS or AH), it isn't your 'right' to say anything you want here.. this is a privelige, common decency goes a long way.

Common decency went out of America in the 60's.  You HAVE to have software control the masses today.

You know what, I think alot of people go out of their way to be jerks on ch 1. They abuse it, and think of it as "I'm paying and I can say (type) whatever we want!" That is so FAR from the truth. We pay to play.

To the love muffin who was worried about the infringement of your "1st Amendment" rights. You have those freedoms, BUT as soon as you, "infringe" on the rights of others, yer screwed.

I posted the above, it didn't get by me, Wlfgng.

Agree, Popeye.

Would be a great boon to have a permanent squelch feature.

Pirate, I can't spell either. Folks around here have been very generous over the years in putting up with it from me. They cut HiTech no slack at all for his spelling tho. Go figure... ;)

as for HTC 'high handed, no slack' stance in dealing with unseemly behavior... WTG HTC!

I inherited a shop that had some arrogant tulips with union cards in it once.. took me about 15 seconds to figure out how to get 'em fired, and I did it without a second thought. I heard laments, moans, union greiviences, threats of lawsuits, death, dismemberment, sodomy.. but their tulips stayed fired, and my shop started puttin out quality jobs, became a great place to work and when I made a request or gave a work order out the job got done without a buncha roadkille griping.

The point... kiddies stop playing grab-ass and tail yank games with the big dog when they discover it bites without warning.
