I think you'd be quite surprised at the number of people who could pull the trigger. Its just those that don't have the URGE to do it.

These guys are terrorists.
Why would two serial killers behave in this way?
The farthest the guy has hit a moving target is 50 meters? What a sniper.

Dont be fooled by the media's use of the term "sniper."  The shots he is making (mainly upper torso as I understand it) are within 200 yards on average.  Anyone in the military knows this isnt exactly difficult.  As was stated previously, someone with even rudimentary weapons knowledge can teach a green chap how to do this.

Im sure that the Marine Recon and Army Ranger scout snipers are downright insulted by the comparison... they're used to shooting at moving targets at 800 yards... not a woman loading groceries at 150...  Hes a murderer not a marksman.

Both my sisters are going to college in the DC area... hope this guy is caught soon.  :mad:

Certainly it's terrorism. Whether for some foreign or domestic cause or just someone getting the thrill of murder and terrorizing many remains to be seen.

I thought the same thing, AKIron. After Pongo's post, I started digging and in the strictest sense of the word, it's not terrorism unless there is a social or political agenda. Doing it for the thrill doesn't really count.

Certainly, any serial murderer can cause feelings of terror, but I gather that it's not the same thing.

Of course, I could be wrong...
