Was fun while this game was actually challenging, but now I'd rather go play Q3.

Perhaps the FM is realistic, but it seems that all the planes stall speeds are lower and every plane is easier to fly...

Maybe this is realistic, but it certainly isn't challenging.

I like a challenge. Not EZMode.

Peace,

Tonight the thign started quite well. CT was for sure not the thing I feared and felt happy with it. I even had HT in private for some 20 minutes and we were talking a bit about my concerns and about some computer lcoks I have had last weeks. All felt fine.

Went into MA and starteda 190A5 run. Not bad, I cleared a buddy's six and killed a lanc on a HO. I saw the con I killed turning like a crazy, a F4U, and thought that, well, new FM, needed to get it.

Then I bombed witha  Ju88, so far so good.

Then I got a G10...and then a 190...and then a A8...and then a G2...and then...

Only to see that BnZ and E-fighting in this sim have suffered the worst blow in ages. Maybe is realistic, sure. BUt I dont like it.

Someone said in #1 channel that new FM rocked. I answered that I didnt like this too much as seemed that planes turned forever...and the next 4 lines in the buffer had the word "whine" in them.

Each time I tried to argue why didnt I like the new FM, and why do I think that it will take me AGES to get used to the new ones, I got a "whiner" answer on the buffer.

WHAT THE diddly HAPPENS here?...DO we all MUST say "I like it" or we are whiners?...eh?...why MUST I like something?..WHY MUST I keep silent if someone says he likes it?. IF I dont like it, I say it, period.

THat makes me a whiner?...then YOU CAN GO TO HELL!.

The worse came when funked in one of his "spotlight" moments, say that it was too early to start "luftwhines". What happens ,that because I like german iron and dont like the current FM then I am a luftwhiner?

See, gentlemen. First time I payed for AH I payed some 4200 pesetas. $ raise has put the money I must pay now in 5900 pesetas.

I am able (barely) to keep paying for Aces High, I am able to keep playing and try to learn the new FM.

But I wont pay to be clubbed by a group of diddlying stupids only because I dont like what they do.

HTC, SALUTE on the new release. It is a thorough and incredible work from your side. Ju88 plain and simply rocks, and I have noticed a lot of new wonderful features ( I think tht now dot range is farther, I.E: the form of the plane is clearer at longer ranges)...I love the icon dissapearing if obstructed. I love the 6K icon, I dont like the FM but I was ready to give it some time...

But all that has happened tonight in MA, where I have been clubbed because I try to state why dont I like the FM has been too much.

Payday will arrive soon. I dont want to leave. but things have gone too far...

6000pesetas to be clubbed because I dont like what the majority likes...no guess that I have to think seriously if I will stay here.

[edit] excuse the vocabulary, but you will never know the extreme anger that I feel right now [/edit]

By the way, unlike nath11 I dont say the new FM isn't challenging. I say that it is different and the differences are what makes me dislike it.

But as I am a luftwhiner why should anyone care?

Agreed RAM

From the way 'freedom of speech' is treated by some in this BBS and in the arena, you'd think the Axis had won the war

All the water that goes in one end of the tunnel, comes out the other end.  Unless of course there are leaks some where or some one is secretly pissing in the vent hole.

RAM, there is nothing personal in this, and it's an uncharacteristically serious post for me.

What you are experiencing is the result of your actions in losing your temper since back in beta.

It is not as if you just out of the blue mentioned politely that you thought the new FM held too much energy, instead you have a history of losing your temper and lashing out at anything that is not how you like it.  You have numerous times threatened to quit because people do not fly as you like.  You have lost your temper and yelled at HT on the open channel.  You have called unnumerable people dweeb at random on the open channel.
The end result of this is that anytime you speak, the natural reaction from anyone listening is "oh man, there goes RAM again."  The only way this will ever change and to get people to take you seriously is to relax, and even then it will take time for your past to drift behind you.

Make of this what you will, it is merely advice, and I can't believe I just made such a serious post, but if you continue to lose it and lash out people will continue to disregard your comments as someone who's lost it again.

Please can you tell me when have I done it?.

Thanks for you sincere post. But no, that wasnt the problem, I wasnt the only one clubbed tonight in the MA. Sure I got the most of the clubbing because I never shut what I think.

But he who dared to speak a single word agains the new FM had in some way an angry post answering him.

ANd again please can you tell me when have I yelled at HT?. I dont use to yell at the people I most respect, and Pyro and HT have and always have had all my respect.

On other matter, about my "trheats of quitting", yes, I admitted that 5 days in a row dying because the wings of my plane were breaking EVERY time I pulled more than 3G at 350 IAS made me go VERY ballistic.

Since then I have posted about boredom in MA but never threatened to go from AH. EZmode is another thing, much more different, and I think that my motivations were clear. It was not a threat, it was a stating, that if AH was going to have EZ mode mixed in MA I would leave. HT then told me to wait and see and so I did. And he was right.

Well but we arent here to speak about my "diplomacy" problems with HOs, or anything else. as I said I wasnt the only one despised for saying that the new FM is not of his taste. So is not a thing against me.

RAM,

Chill dude.  First you have to admit you're one of the more....Sharky<-----Scratches head trying to come up with PC phrase...vocal, yeah thats it, vocal members here at Aces High.  Wiether it is your intent or not you do tend to rub people the wrong way, especially here on the boards.

You have gotten somewhat of a reputation as a whinner.  I'm not saying that it's true but you do have that reputation.  So when people see you make a comment on the radio they may have a tendency to not fairly judge your comments and overreact.

Just relax, fly the sim for awhile and if you truely feel that something is wrong, bring it to HT's attention.  I'm sure that if you have a legitament complaint they will look into it.  But when you argue your case, please provide some specifics ie numbers, comparative performance etc.  Don't just say it sux or is porked.

Thanks,
Sharky

You guys may or may not learn that you are going to have to adapt to the simm. It's not the other way around.

HTC aint gonna go back and rewrite this whole version just because some mouthy kids weren't impressed with their first couple of sorties in it.

Does it even cross your mind that theres tons of work in this?? Are you guys old enough to know what work is?? You try it for a few hours, get pissed, throw a tantrum, etc. etc.

Nath, I bet you will be back tomorrow.

Ram, How many times have you quit?

Sorry, but I hate these "quitter" threads...

You know what I did when I quit warbirds???
Not a damn thing, I just quit playing it.

<chuckle> Now that I think about it that wasn't you, but that mistake in itself is a perfect example of the problem.

As for the open channel I'm sure it was heated, it's bad enough normally, the warps associated with everyone downloading likely don't make it any better.  You can either yell back, or yawn and keep flying.

<RAM Shakes his head completely disheartened>

oh my god...please am I so bad at english?...who is talking about porkings here?...I never said the FM is porked, for heaven's sake!. I say I dont like it because makes my flying style (strict e fighting and BnZ) be next to useless!

is that a whine?!...dunno but for sure is NOT a complain...I have saluted HTC for their work, they did a wonderful work on 1.04!. the FM is the most realistic? ok! I agree! who's saying the opposite!

I say that I dont like it and people jump on me like If I had commited heressy...

And I am still reading that I've said the FM is porked

<RAM walks away in complete despair>

I think BnZ will still be here RAM.  It will just be a little tougher at first.  The TnB planes retain more E now as do all planes but planes that retained it well before will just retain more.  Adjust your E fight and you will still win and just think you will have just a tick more E at the end to pull that amazing shot

All of us "old" timers will have to re-learn to fly abit and I bet there will be a patch out soon fixing this or fixing that.  Have faith.  E fighting is not gone but just moved to the next level
