Mandie,

I don't recall ever seeing your name flying around the game before, so I am not sure if you are in a squadron or not.  But my suggestion would be to join a squadron.  You can make a good group of friends that way and then you can just slowly start to ignore Channel 1 comments.  However, I'd suggest you be choosy about any squadron you apply to and do a little research first.  Some squadrons stress quality of individual above all other criterea and thus can be a very good group to fly with, if not always successful in score.

I agree with my squaddie there.

If you really need some help, find a good established squad that doesn't mind new members and join up with them.  Some squads are more patient with new fliers to the game but in general most will take the time to help new folks get into the game.  I have been flying WB and now AH for quite a few years and they still have to be patient with me.

Don't give up on the game because of some rude folks.  You will find that you will lose out on a lot of enjoyment and some good friends.  Find a squad that corresponds to the time you can fly and hook up with them.  Squaddies are the best friends you can get in the arena.

Ah, look, the "FeaTuArd Editor" from SimHQ.com is showing up defending bravely the whining of a flightsim bbs member because it might be female. So gallant. Dashing!

Creamo, that's a completely and utterly disgusting reply.  YOU are exactly the kind of person that this community does not need.  After having browsed many topics on this BB, it really should be you who leaves.  It's probably much too late, but follow your own advice (from the quote below), then try to grow up.  You are supposed to be part of a civilized society, so at least quit acting like a boorish love muffin, please.

Still don't forgive you for making me crash into that mountain Mandie :)

Log on to your brothers account someday and come wing with the Silver Fox a while. It's not right that you have to give up playing because of some idiots online. I'm sure Skuzzy will clear things up tho. Be back soon

Creamo,
You obviously have 0 knowledge on this topic, and it shows.
But then, that doesn't seem to stop you does it?
The cream sure didn't rise to the top in your case.
