Jonnyb-

You have to understand the game. Felons are excluded from certain positions in government. This is an attempt to show the illegitimacy of the current administration.

That was why I asked the question.  Since I don't know what felonies these guys were convicted of, let's take the hypothetical case.  Joe Smith has been a good guy his whole life.  Raised a family, and been very politically active.  Unfortunately, using my example from the above reply, he was convicted of speeding to elude.  This is a minor felony, but nonetheless, still a felony.  Should he be barred from the position in the government, especially if he's exceptionally qualified for it?

Selling weapons to the Ayatollah and then lying to Congress about it is probably something that should exclude you from further government service.

Poindexter's conviction was overturned by an appeals court which ruled that his incriminating statements were made while he was under some sort of immunity.

Yep. Address the points.

What weaz is doing right now is actually kind of soft compared to what many republicans posted about Clinton.

Not that double standards is anything new though.

Gonna try to stay outside this debate, other than just pointing out obvious cases of hypocricy :D.

Bush is a deserter? hehe weazel, you damned near come across as intelligent here but using those sorts of descriptions pretty much cancels you out. Try to focus.....

I don't know Yeager, what do you call a soldier who leaves his post for a year? has his congressmen daddy fix things so the boy is not court marcheled has all the kids records scrubbed.. If Bush didn't go AWOL for a year, why can't the Texas Air National guard find his honorable discharge papers?... they simply lost it.. Do you buy that... That the millitary would simply loose a guys paperwork?

Rude maybe your right it’s a coincidence that there was irregularities with the navigational  landing beacon with John John’s plane, the Gov of Missouri and the Senator from Min. Coincidence perhaps but I would still recommend opponents of Bush’s polices to fly commercial. I would also recommend they don't open any unknown letters... Did they ever find the anthrax killer yet?.. you know, the one who only sent anthrax laden letters to democrats

Some of you guys need to open your eyes and grow up....how many years do you have to live to realize that life is full of evil....it has no party affiliation

What! am I reading this right.. are you saying that since life is full of evil we should just accept it and join in?... Wow!

If someone's conviction is overturned on appeals, then for all practical purposes there was no conviction.

Weazelle, I thought we explained to you last time that to be a convicted felon one must be convicted of a felony.

ARI FLEISCHER

Quote
"Misdeeds:   Wherever he ends up placed on this list will not be high enough. This motherdiddlyer carries G.W. Bush's demon seed in his anal womb, gestates a fresh offspring a couple times a day and produces a few Rosemary's steamers at press conferences with all the non-chalance of a Spot Coffee latte jerk.

Fleischer is the very bold assertion, by the powers that be, that Americans and their media representatives are too whip-shy to just say, "Wait a diddlying minute. You're telling a whoopeeed lie, Fleischie."

He is a brazen challenge from the tri-laterals and Bildenbergs, etc., that they know that we, as the TV umbilical-cable-dependent, won't do anything to jeopardize our little no-compulsory-military-service, double-mocha-under-a-self-contained, climate-controlled indoor-suburban-shopping-theme-park-with-a-Botox-safety-net dream.

Aggravating Factor:   He is less life-like than every other who has stood in his rank. Within weeks, there promises to be empirical evidence that Fleischer was produced by the same laboratory that gave us Nixon tron John Dean.

Aesthetic:   C3PO melded with Carson Daly operating off a modified Charles Grodin chip."

It happens to someone every single God-forsaken day in some lazy administrative or finance clerk's office. Ever been in? You'd understand.

THE BEAST 50

Jay Leno is #47, Ari is # 16, and #5 on the Most Loathsome People in America list is:

Quote
#5. MARY KATE AND ASHLEY OLSEN

Misdeeds:   Their entire life up to this point. The Olsen twins starred as the precocious Michelle on the abysmal Full House, a television show so vile that any sensible person would rather watch an abortion gone horribly wrong than sit through five minutes of it. As of this date the twins have sold 29 million books, 1.5 million albums, and 30 million videos. They also have their own line of video games, a magazine, CD-ROMs, and a fashion and lifestlye line available at Walmart which teach young girls that it's OK to be walking through piles of toejam as long as you have a cute skirt and flirty earrings.

Aggravating Factor:   Their company expects to rake in roughly 1 billion dollars in sales in the next year, which hopefully a crooked manager will steal from them because these sluts are already worth $38 million each.

Aesthetic:   One half Britney Spears, one half Andres Serrano's Piss Christ

Boy Weasel, your sources for reliable political discourse are outstanding...

At least Ari is not as loathsome as those two, so I think we are gonna be OK.:)

It bothers me too 10bears.

Can you post a link or something.  Last time this was hashed over no one could place a link to relavent information.

In any event.  Congressman daddy flew TBFs in the pacific and was shot down bombing a little jap island somewhere near Japan.  Lost his entire crew.  I recall some liberal types suggesting there was a conspiricy involved and that daddy was cleared of being responsible for the lives of both crewman lost when in fact he abandoned his crew to save his own life (nevermind the japanese firing the guns that shot the plane down, they were just doing their duty) .   And then more liberal types tried saying that daddy president was screwing some seceratary behind barbs back.  Remember that?

Point is, congressman daddy is a good man and I think his little boy is a good man as well.  I doubt strongly that he "deserted" and my hunch is that people who say he did are pretty much the same caliber as the people who suggested the above things about his father.

So please, give me some solid information on the desertion.

i've read autobiographies of nearly 100 WWI & WWII pilots. practically none of them got into it for idealistic reasons (not even eagle squad or lafeyette escadrille pilots), so i dont see how having been a WWII pilot is a redeeming character value...i dont think the conspiracies really started to flow until nixon got a hold of Ike's bag of WWII tricks
