so i came back with the new advertising scheme that
lets me fly free until march 15. Thought id check it out to c
if it had improved in the 2 years since last i tried.
well i like what i see, in fact i like it quite alot.. xept for
the fact that chute shooting seems to be the defacto standard
in here. i mean, in 3 days if been shot while hanging in my chute
3 frigging times, and i tell you they sure as hell werent no
accident. what the hell i wrong with you people ? in my
7 years of playing WB i think someone tried/did shoot me
in my chute 2 frigging times. for me the kill is done when
he jumps, thats it and thats that.

grrrrrrrr, makes me want to shoot back at pilots hanging in
chutes :mad: , but im a man..err pilot of integrity ;) so i wont..
but it irritates the hell outa me :mad:

"now" ?!?  since when did people ever *not* go after little screamers wearing silk?

besides, if chutes weren't meant to be shot, why did HT code them to explode nicely like that? the real challenge lies in popping them before they pull the cord.

Don't hold back.  How do you really feel about it?

To be honest, I've found that the best way to stop chute shooting is to free-fall until I see the ground clutter graphics pop into view, then I pull the cord.  Sometimes, if a plane is following me down to strafe me, the sudden opening of my chute will cause a collision. ;)

The only thing I find more annoying than chute shooters, are people who post in the BBS without any punctuation or substitute "c" for the word "see". :D

Ditto. I also make a point of sending a nice to the chuteshooters.

Since the introduction of vox, if you bail anywhere near an airfield that would allow you to provide sitrep from the ground to your fellow pilots, I will shoot you from the sky without even a thought. If you are on the ground, I will strafe you.

If hangin in the silk outside of that zone, I will not waste the ammo, its too precious.

Can't wait till the FDBs get ahold of this one. :D

this is generally why the non-chute shooters end up in the silk in the first place....

they lack that little edge of aggression necessary.

If I have even a suspicion that a chute is giving checksixes or using vox to be a forward air controller... well, they don't load all that extra machine gun ammo in a 190 for nothing.

Don't those chute shooters know that killing unarmed, bailing pilots violates the Geneva Convention rules of war?  They should be banned from the game for committing war crimes!!!!~1

I once upped a 163 to go after a b17 formation attacking our HQ.  Popped the b17s, and the pilot bailed.  At about 30,000 feet...  So i swung my little rocket around, and followed him straight down.

Splattered the little bastage all over my  windshield. :D

The only obvious purpose of the parachute is to give us something else to shoot at.  That people are bothered by it, despite it's having virtually no effect on them makes it just that much better.

Nappy,

I, for one, would like to apologize to you on behalf of the entire community.  What you saw must have been a fluke.  I just can't believe that there are that many lowlifes out there who are so lacking in honor that they'd stoop to the cowardly act of chute-shooting.  Pathetic really.  They obviously haven't aged intellectually past the age of 12.

I'm in the process of finding a decent web provider, but once I do I'm opening a blacklist site.  There, I will compile names of chute shooters for all to see.  It's good to identify them so they can't infiltrate our squadron and other upstanding squadrons out there.

gah.. i cant believe what im seeing here, virtually none
of u guys have any ethical problems shooting a guy
hanging in a chute :o .. phah.. todays new pilots..no chivalry, no spine and no respect for their opposition  :eek:

will i wont i simply wont shoot anyone in a chute.. so there.
hope you get as annoyed on me as im at you.phah :D
