I shotdown a lot of UFOS.  They take the form of AH Spit V-IX, but  no intelligent beings inside the UFO's.

I've always been very skeptical of extraterrestrial visitation. The recent special on the Sci-Fi channel has me wondering. There seems to be a lot of reputable folks with some seemingly outrageous claims. Hmmmmmm

And further more, if we BANN UFOs, then I say the UFOs must be a threat of some kind. Why are we scared of the UFOs?

UNBANN the UFOs.

Hum, I think I hit something good here. Me goes off to think some.

Iron- you should see some of the History Channel specials on UFOs, extraterrestrials and what not.

Okay, I am in no way saying I believe all the claims- especially from the good number of wierdos they parade around on there. Phew, it's a convention for the crazies.

But the reports are the interesting things they have. For example, they've been using this one incident in a lot of the UFO/Extraterrestrial specials in which there were hundreds of reported sightings of "UFO type" (everyone knows what I mean, alien associated, not just unidentified) craft flying over a place in Scandanavia or Norway. I forget where, but it was some European country like that. One person they interviewed was a police officer there who followed a couple of the objects. There was another incident where an airline pilot asked ground control if there was an object flying in their airspace. Ground control reported nothing on radar, but the pilot and co-pilot both saw this huge object out of their window with lights running down the side of it.

Don't get me wrong, I simply can't believe unless I get solid concrete proof. It does make me raise a brow out of curiousity though, and means I can't say with certainty that it's all bogus.. and in the same vein, if it's all real.

In the end, it's still very intrguing.

This is a lot more fun than talking about Iraq, cons/lib politics, etc, so here goes yet some more conspiracy theory...  Read in an accelerated,  exited voice; 'affrettando', as they say in music...

Since 1946 it must have been clear to defense intelligence chiefs studying the so-called GHOST AIRCRAFT wave in Scandinavia and elsewhere that intelligently controlled objects of unknown origin and purpose were operating in our atmosphere! Even as early as 1942, when mysterious objects appeared over Los Angeles, General George Marshall, as Army Chief of Staff, was unable to account for the sightings in conventional terms.

So, by July 1947, when sightings proliferated throughout the United States, and a UFO crashed at Roswell, New Mexico, it must have become obvious, to some, that the FLYING SAUCERS were of extraterrestrial origin. Apart from the likely fact (it was believed by the "authorities") that an admission to this effect would generate public alarm, the military (one can reasonably speculate) needed to learn as much as possible about the construction and propulsion of the craft, in the event that another nation (primarily the Soviet Union) might acquire this knowledge first, providing an additional reason for having total secrecy attached to the investigations.

Independent researcher Wilbur Smith learned in 1950 from a Dr. Rob Sarbacher that the stories of recovered DISKS were true, and that a small group---most likely Majestic 12--- was headed by Dr. Vannevar Bush in order to learn as much as possible about the modus operandi of the so-called saucers, and only those with a "need to know" were to be informed of the findings.

Godda love conspiracy web sites.:)

There aren't an infinite number of planets in the universe, simply because there is only a finite amount of matter/energy and this has been a constant since the beginning of time.

That said, it's hard to come up with a reason for their not being sentient life out there  - it's just spread so thin we'll never see it.

I believe in UFO's.

My logic is simple: We exist.

If we exist. So will another intelligent life somewhere else.
