12 303's Hurricane/tiffie or the 8 303's version of the spit, to me higher ROF and multiple gun points suits me then the lower ROF of the 20mm and less gunpoints.

On the contrary I have no quarrels about the Corsair.  DO I fly it?  Yes only on base assault were I need lots of ammo or base defense.  I have 7 flights in it.  I actually would like to see the F4-U4, so you can get back in the corner and pout, I just asked a certain question and you come out whining about oh my poor corsair  

Not everything revolves around the Chog, if you look at what I ask how many US planes carried 12 303's?  I dont remember the US making a tiffie or a hurricane.  Flying them yes but making them?  Unheralded post indeed.

The Hurricane IIB (12 .303's) would not hold its own as well as the Hispano armed IIC in AH. You can get 1k pings with the cannons while the .303's spray alot but don't get very far and don't do as much damage as only four hispano's.

Point: We DO need the cannon armed Hurricane (but want the 12 .303's nevertheless!)

As I read.. I just get more and more irritated by this type of "poll" troll.

Sure I could just stop reading, but I can also express my displeasure with them.

Find an application where 8 .303s are better than 6 .50s or 8 .50s, much less any cannon armed planes.  Find any aplication where .303s would be more efficient than .50s or 20mm.  The only thing I can even remotely think of is allowing a higher ROF with .303s and using 12 guns to spray an area for anti-personel work.

When the planes were made of paper, anything was sufficient.  But that's hardly what we are dealing with here.

So, you want a simple solution to your "poll"?  Look at the numbers for the arena and see what the most used aircraft are.  SpitV is down there somewhere.

The basic pretense of this thread is simply for people to agree that cannons are for "dweebaphytes".. and maybe they should use a real man's plane.

Its pretty much the same old argument not-so-cleverly disguised.

Scram, and for one thing I would like to see more early war variant aircraft, if you look at my stats I fly all planes and not just the cannon armed monsters.  I would love to see a 12 gunned 303 version of the tiffie/hurricane or 8 gunned version of the spit, I am sorry to say but I prefer MG's to cannons for I can walk my rounds into the target oh great one with impeccable accuracy.  If you read in the vehicles and AC section I ask for twin engine aircraft not high performance super single engine can't catch me fighter planes.  Turn fighting in close the 12 gunned planes would devastate a plane.  Not only that but you get a butt load of ammo, so stop trying your way into this thread with a stupid flame about me crying about the cannons.  SO I used a word big deal, you whine a lot, oops you might take that into consideration as well.  No high jacking of this post please, I really do want to see the 8-12 303 fighters, oh BTW it is called a challenge flying these crafts, Mr Dingles.

I want early war variants too.  Just look in any thread that asks what plane you'd like to see and notice what I request.

I simply don't call those wanting later war planes names.  I guess that's where we differ.
