Animals slaughter each other every day and have done so since the emergence of the first protozoa. I have seen coyotes and fox and hawks and dogs and cats slaughter their prey and, believe me, they were all immensely pleased with themselves. Enjoying the success of a stalk and a kill seems to be "natural." To say that man should not enjoy the hunt is to render moral judgement on a natural urge that developed in a largely amoral system.

Offcourse otherwise the animal is gonna die
are u gonna die when u miss a deer?

Do u live in a small hut in the bush ?

Or do u mean we should disband cattle and go hunting the forest?

You sound like you should attend an NRA Gun Safety Course. Why do Police constantly requalify with their weapons if they rarely use them? To prevent accidents!  Plus, it's fun to go blow up stuff at the Target Range.

Muck if you are ever at the top of the stairs with a shotgun in your hands when the police come in, please please identify yourself and put down the gun when you see them.  that sounds like a scary situation for the cop.... going into an unfamiliar house and seeing a dude with a big bellybutton gun and an alt advantage.

Before I began participating in the discussions here I used to believe liberals were basically the same folks as conservatives, perhaps a bit more naive. Some of you guys really enlightened me regarding that misconception.   :p

Yes, I've changed my mind and opinions plenty after discussions with people here and just lurking in threads. Must say that most seem pretty dug in though.

Oh ask ripsnort or toad if you think this is just me boasting or claiming moral superiority without basis.

Am of course claiming moral superiority to the dug-ins, but I HAVE a basis for it :D

Muck,
you need to shoot your gun to get used to it. how hard is the trigger pull? if it is set light its possible for the gun to go off before you want it to. If it set too heavy you could "Flinch" and miss your target. as far as what shells to use I would use #2 or BB Lead shot . If you gun is chambered for 3 in.mag  use them may be tuff on the wrist though  hehe.
